Requirements
- Strong track record in sales leadership within foreign exchange, payments, fintech, electronic money institutions, or banking.
- Proven experience selling IBAN solutions or payment infrastructure to corporate and institutional clients.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a sales desk through coaching, motivating, and driving key performance indicators.
- Strong understanding of payment rails, IBAN issuance, settlement, and operational delivery.
- Ability to work with senior decision-makers, including chief financial officers, treasurers, heads of operations, and fund controllers.
- Ability to forecast and report performance using organised, data-driven practices.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the IBAN sales desk, driving performance and accountability.
- Own sales strategy for IBAN solutions across corporate and institutional segments.
- Build, manage, and convert a high-value pipeline of corporate and institutional customers.
- Act as the senior commercial contact for key strategic clients and complex deals.
- Set desk targets, sales processes, and reporting cadence, including customer relationship management discipline, forecasting, and key performance indicators.
- Recruit, train, and mentor IBAN sales professionals as the desk scales.
- Partner with Compliance, Onboarding, Operations, and Senior Management to ensure smooth delivery.
- Identify new verticals and partnerships, including payment service providers, funds, brokers, and fintechs.
- Maintain deep knowledge of IBANs, payments, safeguarding, anti-money laundering and know-your-customer requirements, and regulatory considerations.
- Represent Ballinger Group externally at industry events and client meetings.
Desired Qualifications
- Existing network in UK/EU corporate payments, institutional foreign exchange, or fintech partnerships.
- Experience selling to funds, payment service providers, brokers, or financial institutions.
- Exposure to multi-currency accounts, safeguarding, SEPA/SWIFT, and payment orchestration.
