About the company

charity: water is a nonprofit that funds clean and safe drinking water projects around the world. It raises money from donors and fundraisers and uses those funds to support water projects such as deep drilled wells and filtration systems in communities that lack reliable water sources. Since 2006, the organization has funded more than 184,000 projects across 29 countries with the aim of delivering clean water to over 20 million people. In essence, the product is access to reliable drinking water, delivered through completed water projects funded by donations. The organization differentiates itself through its large donor network (over 2 million donors and fundraisers) and by reporting the impact of its work—building, financing, and operating water projects that provide safe water to communities. The goal is to expand access to clean, safe drinking water for as many people as possible and to reduce the health risks associated with dirty water.
