IBRX stock rattled as legal probes target ImmunityBio.

IBRX stock rattled as legal probes target ImmunityBio. TIM BOHEN - UPDATED OCT. 19, 2026, 3:03 PM ET Summarize this article ImmunityBio Inc. stocks have been trading down by -6.05 percent after clinical trial concerns sparked heightened investor risk aversion. Key takeaways. * A string of securities law firms has launched investigations into potential corporate wrongdoing at ImmunityBio, targeting traders who bought shares before 2026/01/19 and still hold them. * These investigations highlight possible issues in ImmunityBio's disclosures, governance, or even fraud, raising the risk of future class-action litigation tied to IBRX. * Multiple firms stepping in from 2026/09/20 through 2026/10/18 shows a growing legal overhang that traders must track closely. * Legal scrutiny comes on top of steep losses and cash burn at ImmunityBio, amplifying headline risk for IBRX trading. Live Update At 15:02:22 EDT: On Monday, October 19, 2026 ImmunityBio Inc. stock [NASDAQ: IBRX] is trending down by -6.05%! Discover the key drivers behind this movement as well as its expert analysis in the detailed breakdown below. Quick financial overview. ImmunityBio (IBRX) is not trading like a stable, cash-rich giant. It's acting like a high-risk biotech with big dreams and a heavy burn rate. Recent quarterly numbers back that up. For the quarter ended 2026/06/30, ImmunityBio reported total revenue of about $51.2M, but a net loss of roughly $230.4M. EBITDA came in near -$194.7M, showing that even before interest and taxes, the core business is bleeding cash. Operating cash flow was around -$66.5M, and free cash flow about -$70.0M. That's serious outflow for a company with only $75.7M in cash and $357.4M including short-term investments. On the balance sheet, IBRX shows total assets of $628.5M against total liabilities of $1.67B, leaving stockholders' equity at about -$1.05B. That negative equity, plus extreme negative return on assets, tells traders this is a deeply leveraged story built on future optionality, not current profits. The chart confirms the tug-of-war. Over the last few weeks, IBRX ran from the mid-$8s to above $10 and has now slipped back to around $8.63, with intraday action mostly grinding sideways. That kind of range, on a fragile balance sheet, is classic headline-trading territory. Why traders are watching IBRX legal risk. The core story now gripping ImmunityBio (IBRX) isn't a new drug result or partnership. It's the drumbeat of legal headlines. Since 2026/09/20, a securities plaintiffs' law firm has been investigating ImmunityBio on behalf of traders who bought before 2026/01/19. That first shot opened the door. Within days, another litigation firm flagged "potential corporate wrongdoing" at ImmunityBio, warning that legal and governance issues could weigh on the stock. When multiple firms all chase the same target window of shareholders, it usually means one thing: they see enough smoke to start searching for fire. By 2026/09/22 and 2026/09/24, more securities litigation firms had joined in, again focusing on possible wrongdoing by ImmunityBio's officers and directors. For IBRX traders, that raises a key question - can you trust management's prior disclosures, or will new information force a reset of the story? The pressure didn't stop there. On 2026/10/08 and 2026/10/11, fresh law firm announcements pointed to potential governance, disclosure, or even fraud-related issues at ImmunityBio. Then, on 2026/10/13, a litigation firm went further, signaling that its probe could lead to class-action litigation tied to those pre-2026/01/19 buyers who still hold IBRX. Most recently, on 2026/10/15 and 2026/10/18, yet another wave of securities law firms publicized probes into ImmunityBio and its officers and directors. That's the key trading takeaway: the story is not fading. It's building. Combine that with IBRX's weak financials, and you have a name where any new legal filing, disclosure, or governance headline can trigger sharp moves. For short-term traders, ImmunityBio becomes a pure catalyst play - watch the tape, the news feed, and be ready to react rather than "hope and hold." Conclusion. ImmunityBio (IBRX) sits at the crossroad of high biotech risk and mounting legal pressure. On one side, you have a company with roughly $51.2M in quarterly revenue but burning over $60M in operating cash every three months, carrying negative equity and heavy long-term debt. On the other, you now have a steady stream of securities law firms announcing investigations into potential corporate wrongdoing tied to IBRX's officers, directors, and past disclosures. For traders, that combination means one thing - volatility. Every fresh headline about ImmunityBio governance or potential class-action litigation can reset sentiment in minutes. The recent slide from above $10 to the mid-$8s, coupled with the choppy intraday action, shows how quickly the crowd re-prices legal risk. In choppy, news-driven names like this, setups must be evaluated even more carefully before taking a position. As Tim Bohen, lead trainer with StocksToTrade says, "A good trade setup checks all the boxes - volume, trend, catalyst. Don't trade if you're missing pieces of the puzzle." That kind of checklist mindset is crucial when the story can change abruptly on a single press release. This is where discipline matters. Names like IBRX can offer big percentage swings, but they also punish complacency. As Tim Sykes loves to say, "Discipline and cutting losses quickly will prevent that one mistake from wiping you out." With ImmunityBio under legal scrutiny and financially stretched, traders studying this ticker should treat it as an educational case in managing risk, reading headlines fast, and never overstaying a trade when the story starts to crack. FDA expands ANKTIVA approval to all BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has expanded approval of ImmunityBio's immunotherapy ANKTIVA, used with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG), to cover all adults with BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). The company announced the decision on October 14, 2026. It is the first FDA approval to include patients with papillary-only tumours. Papillary disease makes up about 85% of NMIBC cases. The FDA approved the combination in April 2024 for patients with carcinoma in situ (CIS), with or without papillary tumours. In a trial cohort of 77 patients with CIS, 62% achieved a complete response. Of those, 58% kept the response for at least 12 months, and 40% for at least 24 months. The company's chief executive officer, Richard Adcock, said the expansion broadens the eligible patient population.

FDA clears ImmunityBio's Anktiva expansion in bladder cancer after regulatory whiplash.

FDA clears ImmunityBio's Anktiva expansion in bladder cancer after regulatory whiplash. By Angus Liu Oct 14, 2026 5:17pm Following a bumpy regulatory road that involved a refusal-to-file, ImmunityBio has won FDA approval to expand Anktiva into papillary-only non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). Wednesday's approval comes nearly three months ahead of the FDA's target decision date. The go-ahead covers Anktiva, given with Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG), in BCG-unresponsive NMIBC patients with high-grade papillary-only tumors. The drug's original FDA approval in 2024 is in patients with carcinoma in situ (CIS) with or without papillary tumors. To expand Anktiva's label, the FDA adopted a novel approach to how it evaluates treatments for BCG-unresponsive NMIBC, the agency noted in an Oct. 14 press release. The new regulatory path essentially allowed ImmunityBio to bypass an expensive randomized phase 3 trial that competitor Johnson & Johnson is currently grinding through. "We listen to patients, clinicians and researchers, and we act when the science supports a new approach," Angelo de Claro, M.D., director of the FDA's Oncology Center of Excellence, said in a statement. Anktiva now marks the first treatment specifically approved for BCG-unresponsive, high-grade papillary-only NMIBC. As de Claro noted, the agency drew on the similarities between NMIBC CIS and papillary-only disease to reach a positive decision on Anktiva. In its approval announcement, the FDA again cited cohort A of ImmunityBio's pivotal Quilt-3.032 trial in 77 patients with NMIBC CIS, with or without papillary disease. A 62% complete response rate, a 48% 12-month duration of response rate among complete responders and a 40% 24-month rate in this cohort earned the Anktiva-BCG regimen its original approval in 2024. "While high-grade papillary and CIS tumors have different architectural growth features, both are considered aggressive urothelial carcinomas, frequently coexist, [and] can be difficult to distinguish pathologically," the FDA noted in another Oct. 14 announcement. "Based on the overlapping clinical and non-clinical features of these two histologic types, the FDA concluded that the prior demonstration of efficacy in patients with BCG-unresponsive NMIBC containing CIS could be extrapolated to patients with BCG-unresponsive high-grade papillary disease," the agency said. The FDA's decision to review Anktiva's profile across the two disease subtypes followed an FDA workshop in May. During the discussion, experts stated that NMIBC CIS and papillary are similar, and doctors said they treat patients with papillary-only disease using FDA-approved CIS therapies off label, according to ImmunityBio. The two FDA announcements on Oct. 14 did not mention cohort B of the Quilt-3.032 trial in 80 patients with papillary-only NMIBC, which ImmunityBio previously said supported its supplemental application to expand Anktiva's label. This part of the study met its primary endpoint with a 12-month disease-free survival rate of 58.2%. However, the FDA had initially told ImmunityBio that because disease-free survival is a time-to-event endpoint, a randomized trial is required to seek approval in the papillary-only setting. Apparently having received the same feedback from the FDA, J&J ran a randomized phase 3 trial dubbed Sunrise-5 to pursue a papillary indication for its rival bladder cancer therapy Inlexzo. In its third-quarter investor update Tuesday, J&J listed Sunrise-5 among phase 3 readouts expected this year. Inlexzo got its NMIBC CIS approval in September 2025. Now, the FDA's renewed stance suggests the phase 3 Sunrise-5 trial, launched in April 2024, is unnecessary to win a label expansion in papillary-only disease. During J&J's third-quarter call, pharmaceuticals R&D chief John Reed, M.D., Ph.D., said the FDA has already invited the company to submit for expansion into the papillary population. Last year, J&J reported a 74.3% 12-month disease-free survival rate among 52 BCG-unresponsive, papillary-only NMIBC patients enrolled in cohort 4 of the phase 2b Sunrise-1 trial. The company now looks forward to sharing a 24-month update at an upcoming urology congress, a J&J spokesperson told Fierce. Sunrise-1 cohort 4 is "one component of a comprehensive data generation plan, and we remain confident in strong differentiation," the J&J spokesperson said, adding that Sunrise-5 is the only randomized phase 3 comparative trial in an even broader papillary NMIBC patient population. Rather than BCG-unresponsive patients alone, the phase 3 trial enrolled patients who had previously received BCG, including those who had initially responded to the immunotherapy. Inlexzo is a drug-device combo for extended release of the chemotherapy gemcitabine, whereas Anktiva is an IL-15 immunotherapy. Both Inlexzo and Anktiva-plus-BCG have NCCN category 2A recommendation for BCG-unresponsive NMIBC with papillary-only disease. It wasn't all smooth sailing for ImmunityBio, following some dramatic regulatory back-and-forth. The FDA issued a refusal-to-file letter in May 2025, shooting down ImmunityBio's expansion bid without a review. ImmunityBio appeared surprised, saying the rejection went against "unanimous guidance and encouragement" from FDA leadership at an in-person meeting earlier that year. Per ImmunityBio, FDA "unambiguously invited" the company to "expeditiously submit" the papillary indication for approval. However, Stat, citing people with knowledge of the FDA's side of the story, later reported that the agency never endorsed the company's plan. Instead, the agency flagged that an application would be problematic, pointing to its lack of a randomized control group, Stat reported. The finger-pointing also happened when the FDA appeared to have raised its regulatory bar under former Commissioner Marty Makary, M.D. At the beginning of 2026, ImmunityBio Chairperson Patrick Soon-Shiong also went on a podcast hosted by former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, saying he had met with President Trump's chief of staff, Susie Wiles, health secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Makary. The company then refiled the application in March, which was accepted by the FDA in May with a PDUFA date set for Jan. 6, 2027. In its Oct. 14 release, the FDA said it's finalizing draft guidance on the development of drugs for BCG-unresponsive NMIBC, which will include discussion of using evidence in CIS patients to support approval in papillary-only disease. Meanwhile, ImmunityBio and J&J continue their fight in the commercial market. During its third-quarter update, J&J management disclosed nearly $200 million in Inlexzo sales so far this year, including "north of $90 million" in the third quarter as it took up nearly one in three eligible new patient starts. Meanwhile, ImmunityBio reported $95 million in product revenue in the first half of 2026. As J&J's new pharma chief Tom Cavanaugh pointed out on the call, the CIS indication is relatively small, representing roughly 4,000 patients, whereas the Sunrise-5 trial is targeting a market of roughly 15,000 patients. In addition, J&J is conducting its Sunrise-3 trial in the BCG-naïve setting, which is a population of 50,000. Editor's Note: The story was updated at 10:50 a.m. ET, Oct. 15, with additional information on Inlexzo and comments from a J&J spokesperson.

IBRX stock extends rally as traders bet on oncology momentum.

IBRX stock extends rally as traders bet on oncology momentum. ELLIS HOBBS - UPDATED OCT. 9, 2026, 12:32 PM ET ImmunityBio Inc. surges as pivotal clinical progress drives bullish sentiment, and stocks have been trading up by 7.82 percent. Key takeaways. * Shares are up 12.4%, or $1.15, with ImmunityBio trading around $10.43 after a string of news-driven gains. * The stock recently jumped 11.6% intraday to $10.36, signaling aggressive momentum trading in IBRX. * An upcoming Piper Sandler Virtual Oncology Symposium fireside chat will spotlight ANKTIVA and ImmunityBio's broader immunotherapy pipeline. * Executive chairman Patrick Soon-Shiong is leading a PIPE financing into PDS Biotechnology and joining PDSB's board, hinting at a wider oncology ecosystem around ImmunityBio. * Recent Form 4 insider filings show ownership changes in IBRX, but without details on size or direction, the trading signal remains unclear. Live Update At 12:32:30 EDT: On Friday, October 09, 2026 ImmunityBio Inc. stock [NASDAQ: IBRX] is trending up by 7.82%! Discover the key drivers behind this movement as well as its expert analysis in the detailed breakdown below. Quick financial overview. ImmunityBio, trading under ticker IBRX, has been acting like a textbook momentum name on the chart while still looking like a classic development-stage biotech in the fundamentals. Over the last several weeks, IBRX has pushed from the high-$7s and low-$8s to close at $10.69 on 2026/10/09, with a series of higher lows and strong pushes over $10. That steady grind higher sets the stage for the recent 12.4% spike to $10.43 and the earlier 11.6% run to $10.36 in the same news cycle. Under the hood, this is still a heavy-loss story. IBRX generated about $113.3M in revenue, but carries profit margins deeply in the red and an EBITDA of roughly -$194.7M in the latest reported quarter. Net income from continuing operations came in at about -$230.4M, and free cash flow was roughly -$70.0M. The balance sheet shows cash and short-term investments around $357.4M, with a current ratio of 5.7, so near-term liquidity looks solid even as ImmunityBio burns cash. For traders, that mix - big losses, big pipeline, decent cash - often translates into binary, headline-driven price action. IBRX fits that mold perfectly right now. Why traders are watching IBRX right now. IBRX has earned a front-row seat on momentum screens after back-to-back double-digit percentage moves. A 12.4% jump to about $10.43 in the latest session, stacked on top of an earlier 11.6% surge to $10.36, tells you traders are swarming around ImmunityBio's tape. This is the kind of action day traders and swing traders on platforms like StocksToTrade look for - strong trend, clean levels, and clear catalysts. One main catalyst on the radar is ImmunityBio's upcoming appearance at a Piper Sandler Virtual Oncology Symposium. Founder and executive chairman Patrick Soon-Shiong is set to discuss ANKTIVA and the broader immunotherapy pipeline. That type of event does not change the cash flow overnight, but it does shape the story. When a biotech like IBRX is priced more on future potential than current earnings, narrative can move the stock just as much as numbers. Traders will be tuned in for any fresh clues on trial progress, regulatory direction, or commercialization timelines. There is also a strategic subplot developing around Soon-Shiong himself. He is leading a PIPE financing into PDS Biotechnology and joining PDSB's board. That does not alter ImmunityBio's fundamentals today, but it signals he is building an oncology ecosystem that could benefit IBRX down the road through science sharing, trial designs, or potential collaborations. For traders, that is optional upside - not something to chase blindly, but worth tracking as part of the long-term story. Layered on top are recent Form 4 filings showing changes in beneficial ownership of ImmunityBio shares. Because the filings do not say whether insiders bought or sold or how much, the signal is neutral at best. Active traders in IBRX will note the activity but lean more on price action and catalysts than on incomplete insider data. Conclusion. ImmunityBio is trading like a classic high-beta biotech - volatile, liquid, and glued to the headlines. The recent run from the $8 area to a close of $10.69, plus intraday spikes above $10.40, shows strong demand for IBRX whenever news hits the tape. At the same time, the financials remind everyone this is a high-risk development story: steep losses, negative earnings, and a price-to-sales ratio north of 60 as traders pay up for future potential, not current profits. The upcoming Piper Sandler oncology fireside chat gives ImmunityBio another stage to sell its ANKTIVA story and broader pipeline vision. If the tone is confident and the details sound de-risked, traders may keep rewarding IBRX with higher prices. If the update underwhelms, momentum-style names like this can unwind just as fast as they ran. Meanwhile, Soon-Shiong's PIPE into PDS Biotechnology and his new board seat there broaden the oncology network around ImmunityBio, adding a strategic wrinkle for longer-term watchers of IBRX. For active traders, the lesson is the same one Tim Sykes pounds into students: "Volatile stocks with big stories can change your life or wreck your account - the difference is whether you cut losses quickly and trade the pattern, not the hype." As millionaire penny stock trader and teacher Tim Sykes says, "The goal is not to win every trade but to protect your capital and keep moving forward." IBRX is giving plenty of patterns right now. The key is to treat it as a trading vehicle, do your own research, and never confuse educational analysis with advice. This is stock news, not investment advice. ImmunityBio (IBRX) stock soars as hedge fund bets big on cancer drug.

ImmunityBio (IBRX) stock soars as hedge fund bets big on cancer drug. ImmunityBio (IBRX) stock jumped 12% after a fund highlighted Anktiva's market potential, new global partnerships, and an ongoing bladder cancer trial. By Trader Edge September 30, 2026 3 Mins Read Tldr. * ImmunityBio (IBRX) stock rose over 12% and closed at $8.83 on September 29, 2026. * The GA-Courtenay Special Situations Fund named ImmunityBio a top holding in its Q2 2026 letter. * The fund sees Anktiva's addressable market above $5.8 billion a year, with room to grow past $43 billion if lung cancer approval follows. * ImmunityBio recently partnered with Accord Healthcare to expand Anktiva access across 30 countries. * A new Phase 1b trial is testing N-803 combined with two other cancer drugs in bladder cancer patients. ImmunityBio (IBRX) stock closed at $8.83 on September 29, 2026, up more than 12% on the day. The stock has gained over 11% in the past month and more than 256% over the past year. That run has put the company on the radar of investment funds looking for growth stories in biotech. The GA-Courtenay Special Situations Fund, run by Green Ash Partners, flagged ImmunityBio as a standout pick in its Q2 2026 investor letter. The fund pointed to ImmunityBio's manufacturing capacity as the core of its thesis. The company can produce one million vials a year of its flagship drug, Anktiva, which lists at $35,000 per dose. Based on that output, the fund estimates an addressable market above $5.8 billion in yearly revenue from Anktiva's current approvals alone. It also cited a 99% trailing gross margin on the drug. What could push the market higher. The fund's estimate doesn't stop at $5.8 billion. Anktiva already has approval outside the US for lung cancer treatment, and the fund expects US approval could arrive by 2028. If that happens, the fund believes the addressable market could expand beyond $43 billion a year. That forecast assumes conservative pricing throughout. ImmunityBio has also been active on the partnership front. The company teamed up with Accord Healthcare to expand Anktiva access across 30 countries, including the UK, the EU, Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein. Accord will put more than 100 sales, medical, and marketing staff behind the rollout. ImmunityBio also set up an Irish subsidiary in Dublin to support distribution across Europe. Founder Patrick Soon-Shiong said the goal is to widen access to Anktiva by finishing a randomized trial in patients with BCG-naïve disease. That refers to bladder cancer patients who haven't yet received BCG immunotherapy or who relapsed long after treatment. ImmunityBio also secured EU approval for Anktiva in combination with BCG. That approval came just days after Saudi regulators encouraged the company to file for its recombinant BCG therapy to help ease treatment shortages. Clinical trial progress. The company is also in talks with Saudi regulators about pairing Anktiva with checkpoint inhibitors across multiple tumor types. Last month, Saudi regulators granted accelerated approval for Anktiva in metastatic non-small cell lung cancer and BCG-unresponsive bladder cancer. On the trial side, ImmunityBio is running a new Phase 1b study combining N-803, pembrolizumab, and enfortumab vedotin. The trial targets patients with treatment-naïve metastatic urothelial carcinoma, a form of advanced bladder cancer. The study uses a single treatment arm, meaning every patient gets the same drug combination. It is open-label, so both doctors and patients know which drugs are being used. The trial was first submitted on October 14, 2025. Its record was last updated on September 21, 2026, pointing to renewed movement toward site activation. The study is still in the setup phase and has not started recruiting patients yet. Investors can track updates through the ClinicalTrials portal as the program moves forward. ImmunityBio holds a market capitalization of $9.35 billion. Its 52-week trading range sits between $1.95 and $12.43. Stop guessing and start investing with confidence.
