Requirements
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A current valid driver's license and eligibility to be insured to drive are required.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Transportation, Tire Industry Association, and other certifications.
  • Basic keyboarding skills and a basic understanding of computer operations are required.
  • Must work a minimum of 50 hours per week and be available on weekends, holidays, and as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, if applicable.
  • Must be able and willing to provide friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Must be able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, including occasionally lifting or moving up to 75 pounds and frequently standing, walking, reaching, handling objects, talking, and hearing.
  • Physical attendance at the primary work location is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of the location's staff hiring process, including interviewing, candidate sourcing, selection, offers, drug screening, and onboarding.
  • Enforce company safety policies and procedures and follow all company Occupational Safety and Health Administration procedures.
  • Complete performance evaluations for new hires after 90 days and for all employees annually or as needed, and conduct daily safety meetings.
  • Coach employees, issue corrective action, and approve payroll.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and follow established procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the shop and sales floor.
  • Maintain a profitable business unit and achieve budgeted goals.
  • Ensure team members follow the dress code policy.
  • Manage product and equipment inventories and complete weekly inventory counts.
  • Complete daily tire counts to ensure inventory is accurate and accounted for.
  • Ensure service equipment is maintained and in good working condition.
  • Reconcile invoices daily and review work orders and service tickets for accuracy.
  • Resolve customer, personnel, and mechanical problems that cannot be handled at a lower level.
  • Complete the weekly shop schedule and maintain minimum overtime within labor budget goals.
  • Conduct monthly shop training meetings and communicate pricing promotions and policy or procedure changes to team members.
  • Evaluate, document, and communicate return-job problems to the corporate office.
  • Update all national accounts weekly.
  • Ensure procedure manuals are available to employees.
  • Work alongside team members on the shop and sales floors.
  • Stay current on learning management system training and ensure team members complete assigned training.
  • Provide friendly and competent customer service.
  • Report for work on time when scheduled.
  • Assist with other assigned duties.
