Hourly Pay Rate: $20 - $23 per hour (Additional overtime pay for 12 hour shifts)

Shifts Available: 12 Hour AM or NOC shifts, Mon-Fri and Weekends

As a Behavioral Caregiver / Home Care Aide at Cheer Home Care, you will deliver exceptional non-medical and behavioral support to clients in the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise is vital in promoting client safety, dignity, independence, and emotional well-being. We are looking for confident, experienced caregivers skilled in supporting individuals with diverse behavioral, emotional, and physical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Behavioral Care & Support: Implement customized care plans, apply de-escalation techniques, and provide structured behavioral support with patience and empathy.

Specialized & Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and transferring.

Companionship & Positive Engagement: Build rapport, foster a calm environment, and engage clients through meaningful activities and social interactions.

Safety & Observation: Monitor client behavior and physical health, document changes, and communicate effectively with the care team and family members.

Daily Living Assistance: Provide medication reminders, assist with light housekeeping, prepare balanced meals, and safely transport clients to appointments or outings.

• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Behavioral Health Tech, or Caregiver working with complex behavioral needs or IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) preferred.
• A compassionate, calm demeanor paired with a strong commitment to high-quality care.

• A cellphone with internet access

• Strong communication, active listening, and conflict de-escalation skills.
• Preferred certifications, but not required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED
• Candidates with prior dementia care experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide proof of vaccination as required.

Cheer Offers:
