A Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution is required.
An Engineering-in-Training Certification is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain it within 6–12 months.
Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD/Civil 3D and/or Bentley MicroStation/InRoads or OpenRoads is preferred.
Knowledge of civil engineering design and construction surveying concepts is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, is required.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members is required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Support projects involving data collection, existing-condition analysis, alternative analysis, and evaluation for engineering reports.
Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, perform cross-section and superelevation design, model roadways, develop transportation infrastructure plans, and compute quantity takeoffs.
Desired Qualifications
Prior internship or work experience is preferred.
Experience with municipal or state transportation projects, or United States Department of Transportation projects, is a plus.
