Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in selective admissions, college counseling, or a related field is required.
  • Experience with student recruitment, including individual and/or joint travel, is required.
  • Experience with application evaluation, including individual or committee-based evaluation, is required.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated project management skills are required.
  • Cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations are required.
  • Proficiency with customer relationship management software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Comfort traveling both independently and as part of a group is required.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is required upon hire.
  • The ability to travel to various locations using rental vehicles and meet rental-car agency driving-record standards is required.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee a portfolio such as communications, data analysis, access and outreach, recruitment, selection, events, or staff development, including managing complex projects, delegating tasks, managing contributing staff members and student workers, creating and presenting training materials, and conducting data analysis and assessment.
  • Participate in undergraduate application review and selection processes, including evaluating applications according to training protocols and participating in selection committees.
  • Take leadership roles during the selection cycle through process management or committee chairing when requested.
  • Serve as an on-campus point of contact for visitors.
  • Communicate with students, families, school and organization counselors, and the general public through in-person conversations, virtual formats, email, and phone.
  • Collaborate with campus partners on data and project-based work.
  • Coordinate with external partners to support portfolio and office-wide initiatives.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person information sessions and workshops for varied audiences on and off campus.
  • Create, facilitate, or contribute to office training initiatives for admissions officers and administrative staff as requested by the Dean or Director.
  • Directly supervise 1–4 professional staff members and serve as a member of the Management Team.
  • Complete other assigned projects and duties.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior supervisory experience with professional or student staff.
  • Experience leading or facilitating staff development initiatives.
  • Experience with highly selective application evaluation, including individual or committee-based evaluation.
  • Experience with Technolutions Slate.
  • Fluency in a second language.
