Yard Attendant / Heavy Truck Driver
About the job
- Ideally, have successful initial experience in a similar environment.
- Have knowledge of construction or agricultural equipment mechanics.
- Hold a Category C heavy vehicle driving licence and FIMO qualification.
- Be available, physically resilient, methodical, and comfortable interacting with customers.
- Prepare equipment according to the agency’s instructions and defined priorities.
- Check that machinery is operational when dispatched and returned, and record any anomalies.
- Explain equipment operation to customers and assist with loading.
- Transmit the information needed to establish the rental contract and any customer observations.
- Perform first-level equipment maintenance, including changing lights and making paint touch-ups.
- Store equipment in the yard according to the areas defined in the yard plan.
- Maintain the cleanliness and visual quality of the yard.
- Occasionally deliver equipment to local and departmental construction sites, including loading, unloading, and securing equipment in compliance with company safety instructions and rules.
