Requirements
  • Completion of an American Medical Association-approved radiology technologist program and eligibility for registry.
  • A New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection radiology technology license is required upon hire.
  • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • A current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection radiology technology license is required.
  • Completion of patient care and safe handling training.
  • Compliance with departmental procedures, life safety, fire and hazardous waste, radiation safety, and infection control requirements.
  • Maintenance of required licensure and participation in departmental training.
Responsibilities
  • Perform portable, emergency department, trauma, fluoroscopy operating-room, and general radiology procedures as needed.
  • Communicate courteously with coworkers and guests and provide good internal and external customer service.
  • Report equipment maintenance issues, monitor supplies and deficiencies, and maintain department-specific paperwork.
  • Assist with patient flow and care and help optimize patient throughput through the Radiology Ambassador team.
  • Comply with timekeeping rules and avoid early, late, and unauthorized entries.
  • Attend more than 80% of staff meetings to stay informed and support initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with general, portable, emergency department, trauma, fluoroscopy, and pediatric radiology procedures.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support.
