Requirements
- Completion of an American Medical Association-approved radiology technologist program and eligibility for registry.
- A New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection radiology technology license is required upon hire.
- Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- A current New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection radiology technology license is required.
- Completion of patient care and safe handling training.
- Compliance with departmental procedures, life safety, fire and hazardous waste, radiation safety, and infection control requirements.
- Maintenance of required licensure and participation in departmental training.
Responsibilities
- Perform portable, emergency department, trauma, fluoroscopy operating-room, and general radiology procedures as needed.
- Communicate courteously with coworkers and guests and provide good internal and external customer service.
- Report equipment maintenance issues, monitor supplies and deficiencies, and maintain department-specific paperwork.
- Assist with patient flow and care and help optimize patient throughput through the Radiology Ambassador team.
- Comply with timekeeping rules and avoid early, late, and unauthorized entries.
- Attend more than 80% of staff meetings to stay informed and support initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with general, portable, emergency department, trauma, fluoroscopy, and pediatric radiology procedures.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support.
