Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Three years of experience in a relevant field or internship experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, mathematical, interpersonal, verbal, written, and email communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Identify suppliers of goods and services.
  • Negotiate supplier terms, including price, quality of goods, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager and Director with communicating new supplier agreements and following up on business requests for procurement assistance.
  • Liaise with suppliers and requisitioners regarding updates and details of goods.
  • Coordinate and filter supplier meetings and schedules with key stakeholders.
  • Work with various functions to roll out procurement standard operating procedures and procurement compliance.
  • Assist with data analysis, spend analytics, and administrative work associated with improving the enterprise resource planning system.
  • Analyze invoices to ensure the accuracy of goods delivered.
  • Identify potential errors in requested goods and services based on their location and nature.
  • Create purchase orders.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain is preferred.
  • Awareness of procure-to-pay systems, processes, and associated enterprise resource planning systems, including Bellwether and EPMX, is preferred.
  • Experience with food purchasing through a food distributor is preferred.
