Three years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience.
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field of study.
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by developing alternative solutions.
Ability to work well in group problem-solving situations.
Proven skill in synthesizing complex and diverse information to make decisions that maximize efficiencies and mitigate risk.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lead continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
Evaluate manufacturing processes and workflows for business units to improve quality and efficiency and reduce costs.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency and reduce costs.
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to the Production Team and third-party packaging suppliers.
Support the Quality Department with manufacturing-related quality issues by determining root causes and taking corrective actions.
Estimate labor costs or standard production rates for quoting and improve processes where labor variances are identified.
Perform manufacturing qualification on new, replacement, or alternative components.
Facilitate the design of customer packaging solutions with internal and external customers.
Research, recommend, and qualify new manufacturing equipment, layouts, workflows, and workforce utilization approaches.
Determine the equipment, parts, and tools needed for production.

This role develops and optimizes manufacturing processes and systems for assigned Business Unit(s), including package design, equipment qualification and layout, workflow and workforce utilization. It also supports production team by sharing technical expertise, providing guidance and mentorship.
