Requirements
  • 4+ years of full stack engineering experience (Ruby on Rails + React strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to design and deliver complex systems end-to-end
  • Strong experience with APIs, distributed systems, and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Demonstrated ability to retool workflows using AI
  • Hands-on experience or strong curiosity with LLMs, AI agents, or automation tooling
  • Strong product mindset—you build for real users, not just technical elegance
  • Ability to operate with high velocity and ownership in ambiguous environments
  • Actively use AI tools to improve development speed and quality
  • Identify and implement opportunities for AI-driven product improvements
  • Measure and communicate the impact of AI-enabled changes
  • Continuously evolve workflows to leverage new AI capabilities
Responsibilities
  • Help lead the design and development of scalable full stack systems using React (frontend) and Ruby on Rails (backend)
  • Own complex features end-to-end—from ideation to production—focused on Hiring Assistant workflows
  • Architect and evolve systems that support AI-driven hiring experiences (screening, matching, automation)
  • Integrate and apply AI/LLM tools, agents, and automation frameworks to improve product capability and team velocity
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data to deliver fast, high-quality outcomes
  • Drive technical decision-making, including system design, performance, and scalability
  • Improve engineering velocity through tooling, experimentation, and AI-assisted development workflows
  • Mentor other engineers and raise the bar on code quality, testing, and execution

It combines time tracking, employee scheduling, payroll processing, and built-in messaging to help managers run their teams more efficiently. Time tracking turns any device into a time clock to record hours, breaks, and overtime, reducing paperwork. Scheduling lets managers plan and adjust shifts online and share the plan with the team instantly. Payroll automatically calculates pay, makes direct deposits, and handles payroll taxes. The built-in messaging keeps managers and team members connected, even when they’re not on site. The service is mainly used by small businesses with hourly workers and is priced as a software-and-services offering. The goal is to simplify and streamline day-to-day operations for hourly workforces by providing an all-in-one tool to manage time, schedules, pay, and communication in one place.

CDS Superstores, parent of The Range and wilko, is expanding its new-format superstores after acquiring Homebase and up to 70 of its stores. Four new locations will open on 9th May: Santry, Woodside Park, Tiverton, and Cookstown.
