Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of accounts payable, contracts, and/or relevant experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with third-party vendor inquiries.
  • An aptitude for fundamentals related to real estate, legal, accounting, and related fields is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Development Department with contract setup, accounts payable, and administrative tasks.
  • Process Development invoices and pay applications in Yardi Payscan, including reviewing preliminary notices and lien waivers.
  • Work closely with Legal and Risk departments to draft and package contract documents and exhibits.
  • Resolve and respond to issues and discrepancies related to job and contract setups and invoice payments.
  • Obtain, review, and process vendor insurance documentation.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices by reviewing pending contracts and invoice approvals.
  • Work with Accounting and project teams to ensure proper job-cost accounting.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Operate standard office equipment.
  • Attend training sessions for job-cost accounting and software.
  • Observe and implement best practices among different project teams.
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic legal and accounting principles knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Real estate and/or construction contracting experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Yardi or related accounting software is preferred but not required.

CIM Group hires Adam Lerer as managing director for real estate equity expansion

CIM Group has appointed Adam Lerer as Managing Director, Investments, expanding its Real Estate Equity team. Lerer will focus on sourcing, structuring, and executing opportunities across CIM's real estate strategies, including core, value-add, net lease, impact, and Opportunity Zone investments. Lerer brings nearly 20 years of commercial real estate experience. He previously served as Head of Special Situations Group, America at PIMCO Prime Real Estate, overseeing debt restructuring for a $14 billion loan portfolio. He also led PIMCO's US real estate acquisitions across multiple sectors. His earlier career included roles at Decron Properties, Norges Bank Investment Management, and Goldman Sachs. Lerer holds a BA in Economics from New York University and will be based in Los Angeles. Since 1994, CIM has delivered over $60 billion in real estate and infrastructure projects across the Americas.

Permanent Power Company, a CIM Group portfolio company focused on US power assets, has appointed Steve Vavrik as chief executive officer. Vavrik brings over 25 years of experience in power plant development, operations, finance and trading across multiple energy sectors. He previously founded and led Broad Reach Power and served as chief executive of Earthrise Energy, developing more than $8 billion in solar, wind and battery projects. Office tower sale shows investors are willing to bet on downtown Atlanta's resurgence. CoStar | June 25th, 2026 Real Capital Solutions buys 101 Marietta building near sports venues, new developments. Another investor is betting on the resurgence of downtown Atlanta. Colorado-based Real Capital Solutions paid $49.5 million to acquire the 101 Marietta St. tower, according to a statement from the firm. Dilweg, the seller, had listed the 36-story office high-rise for sale in March 2025. The deal marks the latest investment in Atlanta's central business district. CIM Group is constructing the $5 billion Centennial Yards and has completed portions of the residential and hospitality components of the mixed-use complex. CP Group is remaking the property formerly known as CNN Center into a mixed-use development called The CTR. CIM Group hires Asa Yapa as managing director to expand net lease platform

CIM Group has appointed Asa Yapa as Managing Director, Investments, focusing on the net lease sector. Yapa brings over 20 years of experience in net lease real estate and will join CIM's Real Estate Equity team in New York City. In her new role, Yapa will drive growth of CIM's net lease platform through acquisitions and sale-leaseback originations involving long-term, single-tenant assets in select retail and industrial sectors across the United States. Prior to joining CIM, Yapa served as Director of Single Tenant and Structured Products at Eastdil Secured, where she advised clients on transactions including sale-leasebacks and build-to-suit financings. She previously held positions at Wachovia and Spirit Finance. Yapa holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics and Finance from Arizona State University.
