Corner Health provides a practice management platform designed to help nurse practitioners start and run primary care practices. The platform bundles essential services into one package, including a free Electronic Health Record (EHR) with an AI scribe, medical billing and virtual receptionist services, and support for starting a new practice. It also handles insurance credentialing with major plans in Arizona and offers practice marketing, including website creation and patient outreach strategies. By combining these services, Corner Health aims to enable new practices to launch in as little as 30 days. The company targets nurse practitioners aiming to start private practices, MedSpa owners expanding to primary care, and cash-only practices that want to accept insurance. The goal is to make private practice ownership more accessible and sustainable for nurse practitioners.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • July 2026 financing brought $32.5 million, funding state launches and platform development.
  • Forty percent of visits include specialist services, deepening revenue and retention.
  • Job postings show rapid hiring into New Mexico, signaling active expansion beyond Arizona and Washington.

What critics are saying

  • Expansion depends on 27 full-practice-authority states; restrictive states block the model.
  • One Medical and other primary-care platforms can copy workflows and outspend Corner Health.
  • If NP recruitment slows, utilization drops and the network's staffing-free economics break.

What makes Corner Health unique

  • Corner Health bundles EHR, AI scribe, billing, and credentialing for independent NPs.
  • Arizona and Washington operating proof shows 70 NPs and 35,000 annual patient visits.
  • Oak HC/FT-backed network targets full-practice-authority states, not employer-directed primary care.

Corner Health raises $25M to help nurse practitioners run independent practices

Corner Health has raised $25 million in a Series A round led by Oak HC/FT to help nurse practitioners run their own practices. Combined with earlier funding, the company has raised $32.5 million total. The startup provides an AI-powered operating platform that handles scheduling, patient communication, lab orders, and referrals, allowing nurse practitioners to work as solo practitioners without hiring support staff. The service currently operates in Arizona and Washington state with 70 nurse practitioners using the platform. Corner Health targets the 27 US states where nurse practitioners have full practice authority. Some practitioners using the platform have already doubled their previous hospital system salaries. The company aims to have more locations than Amazon's One Medical by year-end.

Corner Health raises $32.5M to empower nurse practitioners with AI-driven independent practices

Corner Health has raised $32.5 million across seed and Series A rounds to expand its network of independent primary care practices run by nurse practitioners. Oak HC/FT led the Series A, with participation from First Round Capital and Zigg Capital. The company has established over 70 provider-owned practices across Arizona and Washington, facilitating more than 35,000 patient visits in the past year. Corner Health's model centres on Cora, an AI-powered operating system that automates scheduling, billing, lab orders, and other administrative tasks, enabling 90% of clinics to operate without additional staff. The platform allows providers to spend two to three times longer with each patient compared to traditional models. Over 40% of visits now include routine specialist services, reducing the need for referrals. Corner Health plans to use the funding to expand its team, develop its technology platform, and launch in additional states.
