Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in energy, environmental science, policy, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • No visa sponsorship; the employer will not sponsor H-1B or TN visas for this position
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance (DOE Q or equivalent) or currently hold a clearance
  • Background check and drug testing may be required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced skills in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio; ability to quickly learn other tools
  • Strong analytical abilities, data analysis skills, and subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains

Responsibilities
  • Develops models and forecasts for economic trends in energy markets and workforce dynamics
  • Develops and documents methodologies for forecasting economic trends, employment gaps, and workforce projections by technology, industry, and geography
  • Provides Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, and Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services for the Department of Energy Office of Policy
  • Aligns with Forecasting And Report Development Support Functional Area initiatives as an Economic Forecaster
  • Develops methodologies, forecasts, and visual reports to support workforce and energy market trends analysis
  • Contributes to documentation and dissemination of energy solutions
  • Engages with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Department of Energy objectives
  • Participates in cross-functional collaboration and high-level DOE strategy discussions
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in energy, policy, and technical consulting
  • Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of relevant experience in energy, policy, or engineering fields (as applicable)
  • Key skills: analytical thinking, data analysis tools, strong communication, and subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools; leadership; time management; adaptability; ability to multi-task; attention to detail; organizational and communication skills
  • Competencies in teamwork, leadership, business acumen, communication, motivation, agility, judgment, and organization
  • Security clearance or ability to obtain DOE clearance (DOE Q or equivalent) is highly valued and may be required
  • No visa sponsorship for this position; U.S. Citizenship required
