Requirements
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manual memory managed and pointer-based language such as C, C++, or Objective-C.
  • Experience in finding and correcting bugs with security implications.
  • Familiarity with systems programming, for instance multi-process or multi-threaded programming.
  • Experience with Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with the UIKit, AppKit, and CFNetwork frameworks.
Responsibilities
  • Work on security hardening of the WebKit engine.
  • Fix security bugs and work strategically to prevent future security issues.
  • Collaborate across teams at Apple to drive security improvements in our platform.
  • Interact with developers on the Open Source WebKit project.
  • Improve memory management, for instance through smart pointers.
  • Work on sandboxing, inter-process communication, and process isolation.
  • Develop innovative technologies to eliminate classes of security issues.
  • Make architectural changes to improve security.
  • Enhance programming languages to improve security.
  • Conduct static analysis of source code.
  • Develop new testing strategies and improve testability.
  • Engage in down-to-earth security bug fixing.
