Bank of America opens first Wisconsin branches, plans 17 more by 2030 as $5B expansion continues

Bank of America opened its first Wisconsin retail branch in Madison on Wednesday, and a second in Milwaukee on Thursday. It plans 17 more branches in the state through 2030. The 19 new branches will create roughly 130 jobs. The bank already employs 170 people in Wisconsin across its Merrill Lynch, business banking, and global corporate banking arms. It will enter Louisiana and Alabama next year. Ten branches are planned for the Birmingham and Huntsville areas from early 2027, and eight for greater New Orleans from the second half of the year. The openings are part of a $5 billion branch expansion plan that began in 2016. More than 95% of client transactions happen on the bank's app, but clients made about 10 million specialist appointments this year.

Olin secures $2.5B credit facilities amendment ahead of Huntsman merger

Olin Corporation has agreed to a second amendment to its credit agreement, setting up $750 million in term loans and a $1,750 million revolving credit facility. Bank of America is administrative and collateral agent. The deal takes effect only if Olin's previously announced merger with Huntsman Corporation closes. Proceeds would refinance Olin's existing facilities, repay and end Huntsman's revolving credit facility, and cover fees. Any remainder would fund working capital and general corporate purposes. Both facilities mature five years after closing. Interest is set at a benchmark rate plus a margin of 1.5% to 2.125%, or at a base rate plus 0.5% to 1.125%, depending on Olin's net leverage. The term loan requires quarterly repayments of 1.25% of principal, rising to 1.875% after year four.
