Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience handling pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Experience operating and maintaining pharmaceutical or other equipment and machinery.
  • Familiarity with proper documentation and correction practices.
  • Knowledge of machine adjustments during setup and operation, troubleshooting, and cleaning before and after use.
  • Knowledge of weights, scales, and measures, with experience handling measuring equipment and instruments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Quality Assurance, In-Process Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Production, Warehouse, Engineering, and Supply Chain to meet goals.
  • Ability to analyze information and make consistently good decisions.
  • Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Code of Federal Regulations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, and Food and Drug Administration regulations.
  • Knowledge of deviations, incidents, and Corrective and Preventive Action.
  • Availability for overtime, including weekends, as needed for production support.
  • A high school diploma with some college courses or an associate degree.
  • At least 1 year of experience performing batch manufacturing and packing, as well as in-process checks and verifications, in a pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging environment.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move objects weighing 10 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently, and occasionally sit and climb or balance.
  • Ability to perform work involving indoor and outdoor environmental conditions and medium physical exertion.
  • Ability to meet the specified visual requirements, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with batch manufacturing, packing, and cleaning equipment, machinery, and work areas.
  • Assist with required in-process testing and sampling of batches in progress and products to be packaged.
  • Assist with calibration of weighing and other required equipment.
  • Perform packaging activities.
  • Handle requests from departments for developmental or investigative reasons.
  • Complete all applicable training forms in a timely manner and forward them to document control for archival.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery.
  • Perform verifications using special instruments such as leak testers and balances.
