Responsibilities
  • The position also includes working directly with dealers on order processing, product inquiries, and process and procedure communication.
  • The zone sales account representative will build direct relationships with dealers and will work closely with and leverage the tools and resources provided to maximize opportunities and close sales gaps within the territories assigned.
  • Contact customers through, but not limited to, phone calls, email, mailings, fax and webinars to communicate programs and policies that lead to sales.
  • Build relationship with customers and promote sales of all Mercury products through execution of sales programs and services.
  • Upsell and cross-sell, suggesting product substitutes.
  • Daily use of Salesforce.com or other CRM tool to document and facilitate multiple aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Monitor and learn marine market area information (products sold, competition, boat brands in the market, etc).
  • Support retail sales activities to achieve maximum sales and market share.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers and Regional Business Directors as well as cross-functional departments such as credit, supply chain and distribution.
