Requirements
  • A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, is required.
  • The ability to pass pre-employment screening is required.
  • The role requires standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing.
  • The role involves exposure to typical shop conditions such as noise, odors, grease, and occasional outdoor weather.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and air systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on ambulances.
  • Accurately document repairs, labor time, and parts usage.
  • Complete safety inspections and ensure vehicles are ready for service.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow Occupational Safety and Health Administration and company safety standards.
  • Assist other technicians as needed and work as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Diesel mechanic experience with heavy-duty or emergency vehicles is preferred.
