Keeper launches Google Chat tool for access approvals. Fri, 25th Sep 2026 (Today) Keeper Security has launched a Google Chat integration for privileged access requests and approvals, extending its identity governance tools into Google Workspace environments. The integration lets users request access, approve requests and retrieve credentials from within Google Chat. It also supports secrets management and just-in-time elevation requests, without requiring staff to switch to separate administrative tools. Google Workspace is used by more than 9 million paying organisations worldwide, making collaboration software an important control point for identity and access management vendors. The launch reflects a broader push by security suppliers to embed approval and authentication steps in everyday workplace software rather than separate consoles. The new Google Chat app is aimed at organisations that use Google Workspace as their main collaboration platform. It allows administrators to set time-limited access windows, apply approval-routing policies, and maintain audit trails and reporting tied to access decisions. Embedded controls Teams can submit vault access requests with justifications and custom permission levels through the chat interface. The integration also supports approval flows for endpoint privilege elevation and device approvals linked to federated authentication workflows. Real-time notifications are sent to dedicated channels, allowing approvers to act in the same environment where operational discussions already take place. Audit logs for access requests, approvals and credential retrieval remain centralised. At the technical level, the Google Chat app runs on an organisation's existing infrastructure using Commander Service Mode. Credentials remain encrypted end to end and do not pass through external services. The approach is intended to reduce the operational burden of switching between collaboration tools and access management systems while maintaining tight control over privileged credentials. Privileged access remains a high-priority issue for security teams because administrator accounts and secrets are frequent targets in cyber attacks. Craig Lurey, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of Keeper Security, said the goal is to place access controls directly inside collaboration software. "Organisations need access controls embedded in the tools their teams already use," said Craig Lurey, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder, Keeper Security. He said the integration keeps encryption and system separation intact. "Using this integration means your infrastructure stays isolated because the chat app is just the interface. The encryption and verification happen entirely in your environment, so credentials never exist in transit, whether to Google's infrastructure or ours," said Lurey. Available now The integration is available immediately for customers with active Keeper Secrets Manager or KeeperPAM licences. Setup is handled through a guided installation process that uses Keeper Secrets Manager to store configuration details and credentials. The release gives Keeper another route to expand use of its privileged access and secrets management products within existing workplace platforms. Security vendors have increasingly sought tighter links with messaging and collaboration systems as companies try to reduce friction in approval workflows, especially for staff handling infrastructure, cloud systems and sensitive internal applications. For administrators, the practical appeal is reducing manual hand-offs in access control. Rather than distributing credentials directly or handling approval requests through email and separate portals, teams can route requests, validate need, apply temporary permissions and record the outcome in a single workflow. That matters because delays in privileged access approvals can slow operational work, while weak controls can create openings for misuse or compromise. Bringing those actions into chat platforms may improve response times, but it also increases the importance of maintaining strong verification and audit records around who requested access, who approved it and what level of access was granted. Keeper said its model keeps the chat application as an interface layer while encryption and verification remain inside the customer's own environment, so credentials never exist in transit to Google's infrastructure or Keeper's systems.
Keeper Security has partnered with SailPoint to integrate identity governance with privileged access management. The integration links SailPoint's Identity Governance and Administration platform directly to Keeper's PAM solution, automating the provisioning and deprovisioning of users, vaults and resources. Previously, these systems operated separately, requiring manual implementation of access decisions and creating security gaps. Keeper's 2026 research found 96% of senior IT leaders say disconnected security tools create exploitable vulnerabilities, whilst 64% lack fully consolidated privileged access governance. The integration preserves Keeper's zero-knowledge architecture, ensuring credentials remain unexposed to SailPoint. Access certifications now cover privileged credentials automatically, with all changes logged across both platforms. The solution is FedRAMP High Certified and supports compliance with NIST Special Publication 800-53 Rev. 5 requirements for federal agencies. The integration is available now for organisations using both platforms.
Keeper Security names Jessica Krowel and Bill Grabner to lead North America Private and Public Sector sales. Sep 03, 2026, 07:00 ET New appointments strengthen Keeper's go-to-market team following recognition as the second fastest-growing security software company globally CHICAGO, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Keeper Security, the leading zero-trust and zero-knowledge identity security platform, today announces the appointment of Jessica Krowel as Senior Vice President of North America Sales, Private Sector, and Bill Grabner as Senior Vice President, Public Sector. Both will support Tim Strickland as Chief Revenue Officer, as Keeper continues to strengthen and scale its go-to-market leadership. These key talent acquisitions come on the heels of Gartner(R) recognizing Keeper as the second fastest-growing competitor in its Market Share Analysis: Security Software, Worldwide, 2025 report. Krowel brings almost 20 years of go-to-market leadership in identity and access management. She spent 14 years at CyberArk, rising through the ranks to Global Vice President of Inside Sales and Chief of Staff to the Go-to-Market ("GTM") organization, and most recently served as Vice President of Global Sales Development at Delinea. Grabner brings more than two decades of federal and public sector sales leadership, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager at JMA Wireless, with prior leadership roles at Ribbon Communications, Cisco and BroadSoft. Krowel and Grabner will support and scale Keeper's GTM teams across key regions to address demand across the midmarket segment, large-scale enterprises and Federal organizations. Last year, Keeper grew its revenue 53.4% in 2025, more than three times the security software market's overall average of 15.5%, ranking second only to Google in Gartner's analysis. The $111 billion worldwide security software market grew steadily last year, and Gartner attributed the top performers' growth in part to platform consolidation and organizations replacing fragmented point solutions with unified platforms. "The cybersecurity market is seeing an unprecedented inflection point with the advent and widespread adoption of AI technologies," said Tim Strickland, Chief Revenue Officer of Keeper Security. "With Jessica and Bill onboard, Keeper is poised to continue accelerating its rocketing growth as organizations seek identity security solutions that harness the power of AI to protect against existing human risks and emerging agentic AI threats." Keeper's flagship identity security platform unifies password and passkey management, privileged session management, secrets management and endpoint privilege management within a single cloud-native, zero-knowledge architecture. The platform incorporates KeeperAI(R), which delivers real-time threat detection across privileged sessions, and extends governance to AI agents, machines and non-human identities alongside human users. Both Krowel and Grabner will be responsible for expanding adoption of Keeper in their respective markets, as organizations consolidate fragmented identity tools onto a single solution that provides superior visibility, security and control. Keeper's own 2026 research sheds light on the demand for unified identity security, as only 36% of organizations report having a privileged access management solution fully deployed, and 64% still lack fully consolidated privileged access governance. Most of the market hasn't solved this problem yet. "Identity has become the center of enterprise risk and governance given that human and non-human identities are proliferating faster than most organizations can secure and manage them," said Darren Guccione, CEO and Co-founder of Keeper Security. "We are thrilled to have Jessica and Bill on our team given their superb knowledge and expertise in helping organizations secure and govern all identities in the modern era."
