Genmab develops antibody-based therapies to treat cancer. The company discovers, develops, and commercializes proprietary antibody technologies and treatments designed to target and kill cancer cells, often in collaboration with other biotech or pharmaceutical partners. Its products work by using antibodies that recognize specific cancer cell markers, helping the immune system or the drugs attack and destroy those cells. Genmab differentiates itself through its own patented antibody platforms and its focus on strategically partnering for development and commercialization, allowing it to leverage scientific expertise and shared resources rather than relying on a single product. The company aims to turn scientific insights into approved cancer medicines that improve patient outcomes while building value through licensing deals and collaborations with researchers and drug developers around the world.

Genmab and AbbVie confirmed on 23 July that their jointly developed bispecific antibody epcoritamab failed to meet its primary endpoint in a Phase 3 trial. The study evaluated epcoritamab monotherapy against chemoimmunotherapy in transplant-ineligible adults with relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. In the US, where overall survival was the sole primary endpoint, the trial did not demonstrate statistically significant improvement. Despite the setback, epcoritamab maintains its accelerated FDA approval. Both companies will review the full data set with regulators to determine next steps. Genmab reported H1 2026 revenue of $2.051 billion, up 25% year-over-year, raising full-year guidance to $4.325–$4.525 billion. AbbVie posted Q2 2026 net revenues of $16.99 billion, up 10.2%, driven by its immunology portfolio generating $8.79 billion.
Genmab reported first-half 2026 revenue of $2.05 billion, up 25% year-on-year from $1.64 billion, though shares fell 2.6% following the announcement. The Danish biotechnology company's growth was driven by higher DARZALEX and Kesimpta royalties and increased EPKINLY net product sales. Royalty revenue reached $1.71 billion, up 24% from $1.38 billion. Global net sales of EPKINLY/TEPKINLY surged 48% to $312 million from $211 million. Adjusted operating profit increased to $656 million from $554 million in the prior-year period. Genmab raised its full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a range of $4.33 billion to $4.53 billion, up from the previous range of $4.07 billion to $4.40 billion.
