Requirements
  • The candidate must have an MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree.
  • The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in pediatric hematology-oncology and/or hospice and palliative medicine.
  • The candidate must have training in hematology-oncology and/or hospice and palliative medicine.
  • The candidate must demonstrate academic potential and a strong interest in palliative and supportive care for patients undergoing treatment for life-threatening oncologic and hematologic illnesses.
  • The candidate must have expertise in hematology and oncology and/or hospice and palliative medicine.
  • The candidate must have research experience and a proven track record of academic productivity.
Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care services under the leadership of the Division Director, the Director of Oncology Clinical Medicine, and the Department of Oncology Chair.
  • Participate in clinical, educational, and translational research initiatives.
  • Provide consultation services to patients in Oncology, Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy, and Pediatric Medicine.
  • Implement strategies that incorporate clinical education into daily practice to ensure satisfactory learning experiences for Hematology-Oncology fellows, Palliative Care fellows, residents, and medical students on the Quality of Life and Palliative Care service.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary clinical and research activities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in mentorship and fellowship training within an academic setting.
  • Experience incorporating quality and/or process improvement into daily inpatient and outpatient clinical practice.
