Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for the Academic and Bar Exam Success program in coordination with the faculty Co-Directors.
  • Update program information and communications in Canvas and on the USF website to support student use of ABES resources.
  • Assist professors with UWorld or other commercial-partner registration questions and liaise with students regarding inquiries.
  • Assist with preparing and administering simulated bar exams, Mastery Monday sessions, bootcamps, and other workshops.
  • Provide student and graduate support by answering questions and resolving problems.
  • Maintain student and program records, including tracking program requirements.
  • Track program budgets, review reports, and process invoices, expense reports, and related paperwork.
  • Maintain an agenda of ongoing tasks and facilitate ABES team meetings using that agenda.
  • Draft and send graduate surveys to assess the effectiveness of the ABES summer program; schedule and run team meetings to discuss survey results.
  • Recommend programmatic improvements at the end of bar cycles and semesters and assess student and graduate needs to expand offerings.
  • Maintain ABES Canvas pages by posting updates and messages, creating Zoom links, managing recordings, answering questions, and checking link and file accessibility.
  • Assist with reports and data analysis.
  • Maintain data-tracking systems, update them, assess their accuracy, and improve their usability during bar-preparation cycles.
  • Conduct comprehensive data analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Administer UWorld, Canvas, and Tableau; manage technical integrations; troubleshoot system issues; coordinate with IT and CIPE; and serve as a technical liaison.
  • Plan events by managing RSVPs and room reservations, ordering food within budget, and setting up and taking down necessary items.
  • Coordinate facilities needs, including moves, keys, signage, office-equipment purchases, guest parking permits, and upkeep.
  • Onboard new graders and tutors.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, photocopying, faxing, ordering lunches, shipping, sorting mail, answering phones, and providing reception service.
  • Coordinate ABES programming with law-school departments and University offices.
  • Support the Faculty Services Office team as needed.
  • Support the transition to the NextGen Bar Exam as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

University of San Francisco appoints Brent Blaylock as athletic director

The University of San Francisco has appointed Brent Blaylock as its new Athletic Director, effective immediately. Blaylock most recently served as Executive Deputy Athletic Director and Chief Operating Officer at Oregon State University. Blaylock brings over 20 years of experience in collegiate and professional sports. At Oregon State, he led day-to-day operations and oversaw philanthropic and revenue generation initiatives whilst supervising several sports programmes including football and men's basketball. Previously, he held various positions at the University of Arizona from 2017 to 2024. Stephanie Shrieve-Hawkins, who served as interim athletic director since October 2025, will return to her role as deputy athletic director for administration and facilities. USF sponsors 14 NCAA Division I programmes competing in the West Coast Conference.
