About the Company

Frontier Schools

Public charter schools with STEM focus

Frontier Schools is a public charter school system in Kansas City, Missouri that provides tuition-free Pre-K through 12th-grade education across four campuses as a nonprofit funded mainly by public funding and donor contributions. It runs a college-prep, STEM-focused curriculum with personalized learning, ongoing progress monitoring, and individualized college and career counseling, all within a low 10:1 student-teacher ratio and with opportunities to integrate arts through STEAM. Unlike traditional districts, it combines a nonprofit charter model with targeted student supports, small class sizes, and public funding to prepare students for higher education and the workforce. Its goal is to empower students to realize their talents through academic excellence and to prepare them for productive citizenship, college success, and lifelong learning in a changing economy.
