Requirements
- Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems and equipment at customer locations using a variety of hand-tools and following blueprints or engineering specifications
- Ability to read and interpret product specifications
- Ability to provide technical support to customers
- Willingness to travel regularly with some overnight travel as needed
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as necessary
- Strong record-keeping skills for documenting time, parts, materials, labor, and costs per assignment
- Ability to serve as direct customer contact and maintain professional customer relationships
Responsibilities
- Service products and equipment on assigned projects and ensure customer satisfaction
- Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems and products at customer locations
- Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as required by customers
- Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work as necessary
- Inspect vehicles by checking vehicle condition and cleanliness
- Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance
- Maintain equipment by inspecting for signs of wear and notifying customer and/or Operations Manager of findings
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files
- Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact
- Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need
- Document work by completing daily time, progress, and duration; maintain files
- Record parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources
- Turn in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
- Keep current on all products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service and repair
- Read and interpret product specifications
