About the Job

Requirements

  • You have successfully completed a degree in electrical or automation engineering and have a strong affinity for information technology, or have a comparable qualification.
  • You have professional experience, preferably in the process instrumentation and control environment and OT security.
  • You are an expert in network and infrastructure technology as well as security systems and regulations, or have a strong affinity for these areas.
  • You have good spoken and written English skills.
  • You have strong communication, cooperation, and teamwork skills.
  • You have an interest in and the ability to familiarize yourself with new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

  • You coordinate OT-security measures for automation systems in chemical production.
  • You serve as the central contact for local organizations at the Essen site.
  • You are responsible for executing and implementing projects in the OT-security environment and support EMR project and operations engineers with OT-security questions.
  • You support independent OT-security assessments by the corporate audit department, including implementation during planned migrations and changes to OT systems.
  • You accompany the implementation of OT measures and support the performance of functional tests, acceptances, and commissioning activities.
  • You conduct threat and risk analyses and define countermeasures.
  • You create concepts for OT-security measures in the production environment.
  • You identify and report the latest findings and developments in cybersecurity and support local communication to increase awareness of the topic.
  • You provide engineering support for ongoing production operations to maintain the OT security of automation, process-control, and infrastructure facilities at the site.
  • You maintain the intended operation of OT systems in accordance with OT-security requirements and perform maintenance and optimization tasks, including design and specification for third-party deployment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ideally, you have knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 and Emerson DeltaV.
  • Professional experience in the process instrumentation and control environment and OT security is preferred.
