Requirements
A high school degree, GED, or equivalent is required.
Hospital and/or psychiatric experience is required.
Telephone etiquette and customer service skills by phone and face-to-face are required.
Ability to maintain confidential information is required.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision are required.
A current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare provider card is required upon hire.
Therapeutic Options (TOT) must be obtained before providing direct patient care without a preceptor.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders.
Field phone calls and route calls as necessary.
Accompany and transport patients as assigned.
Provide clerical and administrative support to patient care and the department, along with other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology is preferred.
Basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology is useful.
Hospital and/or psychiatric experience is also listed as preferred.

We have opening for a Behavioral Health Technician / Behavioral Health Specialist in our Needs Assessment Department.
AM Shift
PART-TIME
8-hr shifts
Weekend availability a must!
Pay range: $23 - $25 Per hour

Our Behavioral Health Specialists make a difference in the lives of our patients. This position provides direct patient care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders, field phone calls and routes calls as necessary, accompany and transport patients as assigned, provide clerical and administrative assignment to support patient care, the department and other duties as assigned.
