- A minimum of 2,800 hours of nursing experience, including maternity, mental health, or acute care experience.
- Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse, or Registered Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse is required.
- Strong communication and mentorship skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to fostering a positive educational experience.
- Ability to travel to local sites within the region.
- Experience in a long-term care facility in Canada within the last two years, or relevant experience.
- Deliver high-quality instruction in clinical settings.
- Execute lesson plans using the preset curriculum aligned with Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit compliance.
- Provide hands-on training and supervision in clinical environments.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Stay current with best practices and developments in nursing education.
- Previous instructor experience.
- Experience with Office 365 and Student Information Systems.
