About the job
- A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering, ideally with a specialization or relevant experience in HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Seven to fifteen years of experience in design consulting, construction companies, or general contractors.
- Experience working on low-rise residential and hospitality projects, including private residences, villas, luxury hotels, and resorts.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Professional-level English, written and spoken.
- Ability to work on-site in Cabarete, Dominican Republic.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Previous experience working on projects in the Caribbean.
- Experience in ultra-luxury hospitality and residential projects.
- Knowledge of construction codes and regulations applicable in the Caribbean region.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal design and Quantity Surveying (QS) teams, as well as external designers, consultants, and contractors, throughout the design process.
- Support the review and evaluation of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing system designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and managers to optimize the integration of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems within the project.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and challenges during the design and construction phases.
- Stay current with industry trends, codes, standards, and regulations applicable to electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Support the management, control, and tracking of project changes, modifications, and variations in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate with the various teams involved to ensure proper execution of MEP systems on site.
