Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and/or five plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good working knowledge of computers and related peripherals as well as good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional software.
  • Various manufacturer sales certifications will need to be maintained (i.e., Microsoft, Novell, Cisco, Citrix, etc.)
  • Current driver’s license with good driving history
  • Reliable vehicle with personal auto/lability insurance is required
Responsibilities
  • Develops and maintains relationships with influential end-users, purchasing contacts and executive level decision-makers.
  • Enters pertinent data on new customers as well as prospective customers into company database.
  • Qualifies sales opportunities through discovery/assessment. Identifies who the Buying influencers are, who has the Authority to make the financial decision, performs a Needs Analysis and obtains the Timeline for when the system must be in place.
  • Demonstrates products and solutions utilizing product demo programs and by working with technical staff to set up solution demonstrations at Tusker, customer site and/or via the web.
  • Works with inside sales to quote prices.
  • Works with the accounting department to provide credit terms.
  • Closes sale and prepares required sales documentation (sales order, contracts, SOWs, signed authorizations from clients, etc.).
  • Puts together a Statement of Work (SOW) outlining the solution we are providing along with a description of the project including terms and conditions of the purchase.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of product availability and company's delivery and installation timetables.
  • Visits client base regularly to ensure customer is satisfied, uncover new opportunities, and ensure adequate maintenance exists on current purchases.
  • Investigates and resolves customer issues with service, installation and/or deliveries.
  • Meet performance standards of the department (goals & objectives)
