Full Stack Developer - Ruby on Rails
About the job
- At least 6 years of experience building and supporting web applications.
- At least 4 years of experience with Ruby on Rails, including ERB, HAML, and ActiveRecord.
- At least 3 years of experience developing externally facing web applications using HTML, AJAX, JavaScript, SASS, and jQuery.
- In-depth knowledge of Ruby, including its idioms and mechanisms, and how to leverage it to build applications.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL database technologies, including MongoDB.
- Experience designing and implementing service-oriented REST APIs.
- Experience adopting test practices using test-driven development, RSpec, Capybara, and continuous integration.
- Ability to work independently and in a multi-team agile environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to continuously learn and maintain a sustainable delivery culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (ECMAScript 6), RESTful APIs or microservices, and NoSQL/MongoDB.
- Experience working with SASS, Foundation, and MongoDB in a modern code base.
- Work in a collaborative team environment to deliver current projects and help implement technical strategy and standards.
- Develop and support web applications using Ruby on Rails and associated technologies.
- Employ engineering practices that ensure a clean, maintainable, and extensible codebase.
- Work with product owners and a small development team in an agile environment to meet project deliveries.
- Support a strong culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
