About the job

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group products.
  • Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
  • Must have at least 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Must provide customer service professionally and de-escalate situations.
  • Must accurately input information using a PC keyboard.
  • Must navigate a PC and automated processing systems.
  • Must read and comprehend customer care service tools, including manuals and work models.
  • Must perform mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, and percentages.
  • Must use telephone etiquette, basic computer skills, and multiple computer applications, including the Internet, Google Maps, email, and company applications.
  • Must understand North American geographical relationships and road-condition reporting terminology.
  • Must communicate effectively, use strong interpersonal and written communication skills, listen effectively, identify and resolve customer service issues or transfer them to the appropriate customer advocate, maintain accurate records, reconcile payment history, and read maps and use travel-related directional tools.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service during every member interaction.
  • Respond to a high volume of emergency roadside service requests in a call center environment.
  • Respond to member needs by gathering information, providing solutions, and helping members return to the road.
  • Analyze member accounts to identify additional products and services that benefit the member.
  • Follow the detailed call-intake process and work through calls efficiently while meeting performance metrics.
Desired Qualifications
  • College-level coursework in Business, Marketing, Geography, or a related field, and/or applicable professional or technical certification courses.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a call center environment.
  • Remote work experience.
  • Experience in a customer service environment.
  • Experience promoting Auto Club Group products and services.
  • Experience identifying and responding to customer needs through cross-selling and upselling products.
