ExpoFP launches interactive floor plan integration for Cvent events

ExpoFP has launched an interactive floor plan integration for Cvent Events, allowing organisers to display searchable venue maps inside Cvent Attendee Hub whilst managing exhibitor and session data in Cvent. The integration uses the Cvent REST API to provide one-way data synchronisation from Cvent to ExpoFP. Attendees can zoom and explore venues, search by exhibitor or booth, access profiles, locate sessions and use digital wayfinding. The floor plan also works through a standalone URL in mobile browsers without requiring app downloads. "Organisers already manage critical exhibitor and session data in Cvent. This integration lets them use that information in an interactive ExpoFP floor plan without rebuilding the same event data in another system," said Ross Sudentas, founder and chief executive officer of ExpoFP.

Cvent says APAC events now use AI in everyday work.

Cvent says APAC events now use AI in everyday work. Fri, 7th Aug 2026 (Today) Cvent gathered more than 500 event, marketing and hospitality professionals at its fifth Accelerate Singapore conference, where it argued that event technology in Asia-Pacific is moving beyond debate over artificial intelligence to everyday use. Held at Fairmont Singapore, the event focused on how organisers are applying AI in planning, venue sourcing, marketing and measurement, with discussions centred on linking event activity to business results across marketing, sales and customer success. Will Kataria, Country Head and Senior Director, Singapore, Cvent, said the regional market has moved from testing the idea of AI in events to using it more directly in routine work. "Across every conversation today, one thing was clear: APAC is done asking whether AI belongs in event technology," Kataria said. "The industry is focused on applying it in ways that connect people, data and outcomes into something measurable and real. Events are becoming one of the most powerful tools organisations have for driving growth, and the professionals here are leading that shift." Cvent used the gathering to showcase CventIQ, its AI layer for event management, along with newer product updates. Attendees also joined customer sessions, panel discussions and practical demonstrations designed to show how organisers and venue operators can use connected data in live events. Research Findings Cvent also cited commissioned research to support its argument that in-person events are becoming more important as AI makes digital content easier and cheaper to produce. According to Forrester Consulting research commissioned by Cvent, 70% of business leaders said events matter more in an AI-saturated environment. Separate research conducted by Censuswide found that 81% of respondents said audience trust increased after an in-person experience. Cvent has framed this around what it calls the "Presence Premium", arguing that physical attendance and direct contact are becoming more valuable in a market filled with AI-generated material. The emphasis on trust and measurable outcomes reflects a broader push across the events sector to prove commercial value rather than treat conferences and meetings as support activities. Discussions at the Singapore event repeatedly returned to the role of events as a business channel rather than a brand exercise. Investment Plan Cvent also said it has committed more than $1 billion to technology, AI and product development between 2026 and 2029, with Asia-Pacific included in that spending programme. The investment comes as software suppliers to the events and hospitality industries compete to build AI tools into planning, attendee engagement, venue discovery and post-event analysis. The commercial case for those systems rests on helping organisers show what an event delivered, whom it influenced and how it affected revenue or customer retention. Sessions that drew strong interest included discussions on business-to-business event trends in the AI era and the future of event technology. For hospitality delegates, a demonstration area focused on AI-assisted venue discovery drew attention by showing how venue visibility appears when planners search through AI-supported sourcing tools. The Singapore edition was also the first local chapter of Accelerate to take place under Cvent's new brand identity. The company linked that repositioning to its argument that live events should sit closer to the centre of growth strategies as businesses seek stronger relationships and clearer returns from customer and partner engagement. Cvent operates in event technology, marketing software and hospitality sourcing, serving organisers as well as hotels and venues. Its platform is used by more than 445,000 users across more than 34,000 organisations, and its marketplace sources more than USD $20 billion in group business annually. For the wider events market in Asia-Pacific, the message from the Singapore gathering was less about whether AI will be adopted and more about how quickly buyers can apply it in everyday operations.

Interprefy joins Cvent Marketplace with real-time interpretation.

Interprefy joins Cvent Marketplace with real-time interpretation. Remote interpretation platform gains access to 30,000 Cvent users, simplifying multilingual conference delivery for event managers worldwide. MICE Daily The news: Interprefy, a global provider of Remote Simultaneous Interpretation (RSI) and AI-powered live translation, has joined the Cvent App Marketplace under the Accessibility category. The integration gives Cvent's roughly 30,000 customers direct access to human interpretation and AI-powered translation solutions within their event management platform. Emburse integrates with Cvent to bring travel intelligence to hotel sourcing

Emburse, a global travel and expense management leader, has integrated with Cvent to bring travel analytics directly into hotel sourcing workflows. The integration, called Booking Insights with Emburse, provides corporate travel teams with transaction-level data to evaluate supplier performance and negotiate hotel contracts more effectively. The partnership addresses a common challenge in business travel: hotel sourcing decisions often rely on fragmented historical data. By embedding Emburse Travel Analytics into Cvent Travel, organizations can access richer intelligence during the sourcing process. The integration uses Emburse's Hotel Intelligence API, a new platform capability enabling partners to incorporate Emburse analytics into their solutions. Michele Shepard, Emburse's chief revenue officer, said the integration transforms travel data into a competitive advantage. Brian Sullivan, Cvent's vice president of product management, said it creates a more connected sourcing experience for travel teams.

Event teams explore AI to redesign and optimize event programs.

Event teams explore AI to redesign and optimize event programs. Event Tech Case Studies, Applications, Technologies, Directory, Manufacturers, jobs Background and context. Table of Contents Artificial intelligence is moving quickly from experimentation to everyday use in event planning. Many teams are now testing AI tools to support tasks such as content planning, attendee communication, and data analysis around event performance. As budgets tighten and expectations for personalized experiences grow, organizers are exploring how AI can help them design more relevant programs, streamline workflows, and better understand audience behavior. This shift is prompting technology providers and media platforms in the sector to offer more education and practical guidance. In this context, BizBash and event management platform provider Cvent are collaborating on an educational session focused on how event teams are rethinking their event programs with AI. Key announcement. BizBash and Cvent have scheduled a free webinar on August 19 that will examine how planners and event marketers are incorporating AI into their strategies. The session aims to highlight real-world use cases rather than theoretical discussions. According to the organizers, the webinar will look at how AI is being used to support areas such as agenda design, content generation, attendee messaging, and post-event analysis. It is positioned as a practical overview for professionals seeking to understand where AI can add value to existing planning processes. Cvent, whose platform is used by many corporate and association planners, has been adding AI-driven features to its product ecosystem, and the webinar is expected to reference some of these capabilities as examples. Further information about Cvent's technology portfolio is available on the company's official website at cvent.com. Industry impact. The session reflects a wider trend in the events industry: technology suppliers and media outlets are now framing AI as a foundational capability rather than an experimental add-on. Education is a key part of that shift, as many teams are still at an early stage in evaluating which tools are relevant and how to implement them responsibly. For event professionals, AI is most commonly entering the workflow in incremental ways - such as automating routine communications, summarizing session content, or helping segment audiences based on behavior. The webinar is likely to focus on these practical, near-term applications instead of long-range predictions. The collaboration between BizBash and Cvent also indicates a growing alignment between content publishers and platform vendors in shaping how AI is discussed and adopted within the sector. Why this matters. For planners, producers, and event marketers, understanding AI is increasingly a skills requirement rather than an optional interest. Even modest use of AI tools can influence how programs are structured, how content is delivered, and how success is measured. Educational sessions like the August 19 webinar can help teams move from general curiosity about AI to more informed, practical decisions. By focusing on live examples and current use cases, the program may give attendees clearer pathways to test AI in their own organizations, while also highlighting considerations around data, accuracy, and human oversight. * Event planners looking to update their workflows can gain insight into where AI is realistically helpful today. * Suppliers and venues can better understand client expectations as AI-informed planning becomes more common. * Leaders responsible for event strategy can use these discussions to inform training, resourcing, and technology investments. As AI tools continue to mature, industry conversations are shifting from "if" to "how" they should be integrated into event programs. This joint webinar is one example of how the sector is beginning to build that shared understanding.
