- Familiarity with PDFs, STEP files, Excel specifications, compressed archives, WeTransfer, and Alibaba Cloud.
- Ability to manually inspect and assemble products, analyze critical nodes, and identify and resolve sealing, play, and fit issues.
- Skilled use of measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Knowledge of ABS, PC, PC+ABS, PA+GF, TPE, and TPU material properties, including shrinkage, impact strength, heat resistance, and elasticity.
- Understanding of material behavior during production and operation under temperature, humidity, and UV conditions, and ability to balance cost, quality, and manufacturability when selecting materials.
- Ability to develop fasteners, clips, guides, seals, TPE/TPU elements, and mounting slots.
- Ability to design interface elements including buttons, indicators, light guides, ports, and ventilation openings.
- Knowledge of sealing methods, IP54–IP67 protection standards, heat dissipation, and battery compartment design.
- Ability to account for factory constraints such as wall thickness, micro gaps, welding, and assembly limitations, and to design for repairability and ease of assembly.
- Ability to generate documentation bundles including 2D outlines, tolerance tables, bills of materials, and assembly specifications.
- English proficiency at B2 or higher for oral and written technical communication with Chinese suppliers.
- Experience communicating with Chinese engineers, managers, and production teams via Alibaba, WeChat, email, or video calls.

- Track timelines, mold duplication, and price optimization to address potential scaling difficulties in China.
- Communicate in English by email, video calls, and document comments, and edit specifications based on feedback from Chinese partners.
- Participate in mold development discussions concerning steel selection, cost estimation, gating points, and parting lines.

Ajax video devices now support ONVIF Profile G. July 31, 2026 Ajax Systems has expanded the capabilities of its video portfolio by adding ONVIF Profile G conformance to its wired cameras and network video recorders (NVRs). This enables third-party VMS platforms and NVRs that also support ONVIF Profile G to access recordings stored on Ajax devices through standardized ONVIF interfaces. Users can remotely play back recordings, retrieve stored video and audio, manage recording sessions, and search archived footage by time using standard ONVIF functionality. Ajax notes that its video devices are already conformant with ONVIF Profile S, while the addition of Profile G further enhances interoperability with third-party security solutions. The new functionality is available after updating wired cameras to firmware version 2.901 and NVRs to version 2.751 or later, while the DoorBell and IndoorCam models are not ONVIF Profile G conformant because they do not support SD card recording.
