Devops Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled, Python-focused DevOps Engineer to join our Chicago office. This is an on-premises, low-latency systems role—minimal cloud work—where you’ll work side-by-side with traders, developers, and infrastructure engineers to design, automate, and fine-tune the systems that power our trading strategies.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain Python-based automation tools to support trading and infrastructure systems.
• Optimize Linux-based, on-prem environments for maximum performance and reliability.
• Lead performance and latency testing for mission-critical trading applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact technical improvements.
• Serve as a mentor and technical leader, guiding junior engineers toward best practices.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of Linux use and administration experience.
• Expert-level Python programming skills with a track record of building automation tools.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with accelerated network adapters.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong background in performance testing and tuning.
• Experience with latency-sensitive applications on Linux.
• Regression testing experience.
• Full-stack tool development experience (JavaScript + Python).

Benefits and Compensation:

Base Salary Range: $100,000- $180,000 +  Eligible for performance based bonus
