Requirements
  • The candidate must have 4–8 years of experience designing products at high-growth B2B software as a service, artificial intelligence, data, infrastructure, risk, compliance, fraud, security, or enterprise software companies.
  • The candidate must be able to simplify complex technical workflows into intuitive and elegant product experiences.
  • The candidate must have experience owning product design end-to-end, from user research and problem definition through wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and shipped product.
  • The candidate must have strong systems thinking and be comfortable designing complex information architecture, workflows, permissions, data, and decision-making interfaces.
  • The candidate must be able to work cross-functionally across product, engineering, design, sales, and leadership with high ownership.
  • The candidate must have visual, interaction, and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping build design practices from 0 to 1.
Responsibilities
  • Own product design for core workflows across the Variance platform.
  • Translate complex artificial intelligence, data, and investigation workflows into simple, trusted, and highly usable product experiences.
  • Partner closely with founders, product, and engineering to define product strategy, user flows, and feature requirements.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and design system components that help the team move quickly and consistently.
  • Conduct customer and user research to understand operator workflows, pain points, and decision-making needs.
  • Design interfaces that help users review cases, investigate risk, understand artificial intelligence outputs, and take action with confidence.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to ensure product experiences support enterprise customer needs and sales conversations.
  • Help establish Variance’s design culture, principles, and processes as the company scales.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning, fraud, compliance, risk, Trust & Safety, case management, investigations, or enterprise operations.

It integrates with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Segment, and Intercom and uses a no-code interface to build and manage customer journey milestones, turning raw data into actionable insights. Unlike competitors, it focuses on action-based data activation atop existing tools, delivering precise behavioral insights without heavy IT work. Its goal is to remove guesswork from sales, improve forecasts, convert trials to paying customers, and support expansion through clear, behavior-driven guidance.
