Watsco signs $750M five-year unsecured credit facility, extending existing revolver

Watsco, the largest distributor in the North American HVAC market, has signed a $750 million unsecured senior revolving credit facility. Bank of America led the deal, joined by JPMorgan Chase, PNC Bank, Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank and five other banks. The five-year facility amends and extends Watsco's existing credit line. An initial draw repaid $69.7 million owed under the prior facility. Further borrowings will fund working capital, acquisitions, dividends and other general purposes. The terms include more borrowing capacity, covenant flexibility and better fit with the seasonal nature of Watsco's working capital needs. "A committed source of low-cost debt is an important building block of our growth strategy," said Barry S. Logan, executive vice president.

Carro secures $337.5M car loan-backed financing facility in Singapore's first such deal

Singapore-based online car marketplace Carro has set up a S$450 million financing facility backed by car loans. It said this is the first asset-backed securitisation of its kind in the country. The facility uses loans owed to its wholly owned subsidiary, Genie Financial Services, as backing. Carro said it will diversify its long-term funding and support regional expansion. Mizuho arranged the deal, while HSBC and JPMorgan Chase also took part. The three banks acted as loan providers and bond subscribers. Carro said Singapore's Certificate of Entitlement system gives the vehicles securing the loans an underlying value, which helps reduce risk for lenders. Founded in 2015, Carro operates in eight Asia-Pacific markets. It transacted more than 120,000 new and used vehicles in FY2026.

JPMorgan puts $230B into critical minerals, defence and tech a year into $1.5T security push

JPMorgan Chase said on Monday it has financed or facilitated $230 billion for sectors it considers vital to economic and national security, a year into its 10-year, $1.5 trillion Security and Resiliency Initiative. The sectors include critical minerals, defence, and frontier technology. The bank has also committed $5 billion of its own capital to defence-related startups such as Hadrian and Castelion, halfway through an initial $10 billion allocation. In critical minerals, JPMorgan invested $75 million for a 2.7% stake in Perpetua Resources, which is developing an Idaho mine holding the only identified US antimony reserve. It also helped arrange financing for Korea Zinc's $7.4 billion processing plant in Tennessee, and helped arrange $1 billion for MP Materials. Chief executive officer Jamie Dimon has long warned of US dependence on China.
