About the job
- High school diploma/GED or four years of equivalent call center/customer service experience.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in communication, organization, and multitasking; ability to adapt to change, focus on teamwork, demonstrate leadership skills, and work with little supervision.
- Ability to use basic office equipment and a multi-line phone system.
- Ability to work evening hours, sit for extended periods, and work periodic scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- Provide customer service to Smilebuilderz customers, employees, and business partners.
- Reduce missed appointments.
- Practice HIPAA and maintain compliance in all patient and employee contact.
- Answer a multi-line telephone.
- Represent a positive first impression to Smilebuilderz patients.
- Maintain knowledge of patient services and departmental functions.
- Schedule appointments efficiently and accurately using Dentrix office management software.
- Monitor and fill the schedule to ensure providers meet daily goals.
- Follow up with patients who request appointments through Solutionreach.
- Communicate professionally with other departments about patient care and queries.
- Process faxes from the answering service when Data Processing Operators are unavailable.
- Handle insurance verifications and eligibility checks when Data Processing Operators are unavailable.
- Inform the supervisor of potential problems and issues immediately.
- Resolve conflicts to achieve the best solution with team members.
- Attend and participate in weekly customer care center meetings.
- Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned by the department manager.
- Prior high-volume call center experience and dental knowledge are valuable and preferred.
