About the Company

Ignite Reading

Personalized data-driven literacy tutoring for schools

Ignite Reading provides personalized literacy tutoring through an EdTech subscription model aimed at schools and educational organizations. It uses data to determine each student’s reading level and then assigns one-on-one instruction delivered by dedicated tutors, following a curriculum built on the Science of Reading. The program includes a 10-week master class that trains tutors to deliver this evidence-based curriculum, ensuring consistent instruction across institutions. Schools subscribe to Ignite Reading to offer their students access to expert tutors and to support accelerated learning, with revenue coming from subscriptions and tutor-training programs; the company highlights measurable progress, averaging 2.4 weeks of reading growth for every week of instruction.
