- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging program.
- Be a Registered Radiologic Technologist with one year of experience in diagnostic radiology, or hold an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Magnetic Resonance registry or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists registry in lieu of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologic Technologist certification and diagnostic radiology experience.
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce tomographic films of designated portions of the human body for neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.
- Be a Registered Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Magnetic Resonance or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Magnetic Resonance.
- Have one year of training and experience in magnetic resonance imaging.
