Beehive Industries designs and manufactures jet propulsion systems using additive manufacturing for the U.S. defense sector. Its Frenzy and Rampart engines range from 100 to 3,000 lbf of thrust, designed for applications such as uncrewed aerial systems, Collaborative Combat Aircraft, swarming munitions, and standoff weapons. Engines are designed, built, and tested entirely in-house at U.S. facilities, creating a domestic, vertically integrated supply chain that speeds development from years to months. The goal is to modernize and scale defense propulsion by delivering affordable, mass‑produced jet engines quickly, while keeping production tied to domestic facilities.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • The $70 million Ohio expansion adds 200-plus jobs and scaling capacity.[1]
  • Beehive’s Air Force contract validates Frenzy and supports follow-on defense awards.[5][11]
  • The 50-machine EOS buildout supports higher throughput for Frenzy and Rampart.[3]

What critics are saying

  • Single-buyer dependence on the U.S. Air Force concentrates funding and validation risk.[5][11]
  • Qualification failures on flight-critical engines would damage credibility and block follow-on awards.[7][9]
  • Scaling across Colorado, Tennessee, and Ohio increases coordination and execution complexity.[1][3]

What makes Beehive Industries unique

  • Additively designed engines compress development cycles from years to months.[1][2]
  • Beehive vertically integrates design, testing, machining, and production in U.S. facilities.[1][10]
