Requirements
  • Medication Technician Certification is required.
  • Previous experience working in a senior living community is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Responsibilities
  • Take and record vital signs.
  • Measure and record height and weight, and calculate and record fluid intake and output.
  • Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report them to a supervisor.
  • Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living as needed.
  • Transfer, position, and turn residents.
  • Provide skin care.
  • Contribute to resident assessments and plans of care.
  • Provide nursing rehabilitation and restorative nursing services.
  • Care for residents with dementia.
  • Follow the schedule of residents' needs set by the supervisor.
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents.
  • Promote and protect resident rights; assist residents with informed decisions; treat residents with dignity and respect; protect personal belongings; report suspected abuse or neglect; avoid physical restraints in accordance with professional standards; and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
