Requirements
  • The ability to read, write, understand, and relay written and verbal instructions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of on-the-job training.
  • Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment and required drug screens as requested.
  • Must be able to successfully pass Physical Capacity Assessments as requested.
  • This position requires prolonged periods of standing and working on a cash register or related equipment.
  • Must be in adequate physical condition to perform the requirements, including mental, physical, and manual dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception, and other physical attributes needed to perform the job safely according to applicable company, local, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must wear prescribed personal protective equipment when handling material or operating equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers as they enter the store.
  • Accept money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased; validate checks.
  • Assist customers with questions or price discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of the shift, and sales at the end of the shift.
  • Process returns and exchanges according to store policy.
  • Identify prices of products and services and tabulate bills with available equipment.
  • Assist customers in locating products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
  • Bag, box, and wrap purchased items.
  • Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to company policies and work requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Six months of related experience is preferred.
