Requirements
  • 3+ years operational experience in distribution or manufacturing
  • Capacity Planning experience or Industrial Engineering background
  • Technical aptitude in multiple systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (engineering, economics, math, and statistics), business or equivalent
  • Basic and working knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
  • Strong understanding in the use of technical/statistical tools
Responsibilities
  • Create daily operating plans for a site and resolve variances between plan, actuals, and goals
  • Monitor plans and work in process backlogs to consider impacts of future planning and staffing
  • Provide input to strategic shift planning at the site
  • Coordinate with local site operations and central planning teams
  • Manage and interpret the analyses of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of site performance
  • Engage at shift level in real time to make proactive changes
  • Facilitate problem-solving efforts when goals are not met
  • Support site operations team by optimizing staffing requirements
  • Build a strong relationship with the site operations team
  • Work in close collaboration with Network Planning, Field Industrial Engineering, Process Definition and Standards Excellence
