Requirements
  • Three years of experience working in the social services field, particularly with brain injury and post-traumatic stress.
  • Three years of experience working with and assisting military and veteran population.
  • One year of experience working with brain injury, cognitive, neurological, or mental health case management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, rehabilitation counseling, case management, or related mental health field. Equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience working with veteran mental health-focused programming or case management may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Ability to obtain ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to interact with diverse individuals, emotional intelligence, diplomacy and empathy.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relationship management and partnering, ability to develop and maintain professional relationships and resource networks.
  • Demonstrated understanding of psychological and mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding of military and veteran issues, and the emotional impact of combat, PTSD, brain injury, and trauma.
  • Strong working understanding of Wounded Warrior Project programs and resources for families and Warriors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to speak publicly in front of diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively, apply critical thinking, analyze data and discern trends.
  • Flexible to maintain a work schedule to meet warrior needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure programmatic oversight and alignment of resources, services, and goals within the Independence Program and related WWP programs.
  • Evaluate warrior funding requests and determine appropriate actions for goal implementation.
  • Obtain and manage constituent feedback and ensure engagement with WWP programs.
  • Analyze program engagement data, identify programmatic trends, and provide regular status reports to leadership regarding caseload engagement in WWP services.
  • Perform intake processes and conduct interviews and on-site assessments; provide recommendations regarding program enrollment; collaborate with teammates and independent contractors regarding enrollment, retention, and participation strategies.
  • Provide service recommendations to families waiting for enrollment.
  • Actively participate in committee assignments.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with community resources local to warriors on caseload; align resources with warrior needs.
  • Assist with communication coordination among family members, caregivers, WWP program staff, other external organizations, agencies, and healthcare facilities.
  • Collaborate with national Independence Program team to identify and report on national trends, needs of population, and resource development.
  • Provide IP briefs both externally and internally.
  • Identify, develop, conduct, lead, and participate in special projects such as event coordination, training, curriculum development, research, presentations, mentoring, and other programmatic endeavors.
  • Monitor cost levels for assigned cases, identify trends, prepare reports, and provide recommendations for improving service delivery and impact.
  • Serve as WWP primary point of contact and work with contracted case managers on high-touch support for designated warrior and family systems.
  • Maintain and update WWP electronic tracking systems (Salesforce) for warrior and family member, spouse, and caregiver databases.
  • Attend and actively participate in required training and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of experience assisting military or veteran populations in support of development and readjustment.
  • Three years of experience working with brain injury or mental health case management.
  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, clinical psychology, or related mental health field.
  • Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) credential.
  • ASIST Certification.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% as part of work responsibilities.

February 20, 2026 The year-long partnership will support programs for veterans, military, and their families Stantec has entered a year-long partnership with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) to support programs for post-9/11 veterans, active-duty service members, and their families and caregivers. Through financial contributions and volunteer efforts, Stantec will support WWP's meaningful programs focused on the total well-being of those who served. The programs are available at no cost to warriors and their families. "In partnering with Wounded Warrior Project, we honor the bravery of US veterans and members of the military who have been wounded in action," said Gord Johnston, president and CEO of Stantec. "At Stantec, we're proud to employ many men and women who have served and play integral roles within our teams and projects across the US. We know the value of their sacrifices." Through this partnership, Stantec will have a unique opportunity to connect directly with veterans and caregivers. Stantec's Military and Veterans Advocate (MAVA) employee resource group (ERG), which integrates members of the military and helps them build successful careers at Stantec, will be engaged in these efforts. Keystone RV has raised $470K for Wounded Warrior Project. Keystone RV announced that its partnership with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) has generated $470,000 in donations to date, directly funding programs that support wounded veterans and their families nationwide. The milestone was shared during an employee-focused event at Keystone's Goshen, Indiana, campus celebrating the impact of the partnership and outlining its continued expansion through 2026. Keystone RV President Jeff Runels announced the donation total alongside the continuation of the partnership and a significant expansion of the Hero Edition program. What began in 2024 with the introduction of the Cougar Hero Edition - where Keystone committed to donating $1,000 for every RV sold - will now extend beyond Cougar fifth wheels to include Cougar travel trailers, Raptor Carbon toy haulers and the Fuzion Impact toy hauler line, broadening the initiative's reach across multiple Keystone product families. The event welcomed dedicated veterans service partner WWP to Keystone's Goshen campus, bringing together Keystone leaders, sales teams and veteran employees alongside WWP representatives and warrior speakers for an honest, mission-driven discussion centered on service, resilience and meaningful impact, Keystone RV said. The gathering reinforced shared values of perseverance, accountability and gratitude - principles that guide both organizations. A powerful moment of the event came from Danielle Green, WWP warrior and former U.S. Army soldier, who shared her personal story with the Keystone team.
