Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • Experience in manufacturing is required; restraint-system industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems and system audits is required.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 and/or TS-16949 is required.
  • Strong spoken and written communication skills are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, support production audits, conduct testing according to customer, company, Society of Automotive Engineers, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, International Organization for Standardization, or ECE standards, collect data, document test results, verify data quality, and prepare test reports.
  • Understand the limitations of the measurement methods and equipment used in each test, and ensure that the proper methods and equipment are used.
  • Ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out, and evaluated, and investigate product-performance and testing anomalies when necessary.
  • Recognize whether collected data is within drawing specifications and follow procedures when parts are not within specification.
  • Perform incoming inspection and complete related quality paperwork and QAD data entry.
  • Run any test or test machine in the laboratory without supervision.
  • Support ISO certification, including performing as an internal ISO auditor when requested.
  • Support the development and refinement of company quality procedures and the Quality Management System.
  • Set up and maintain controls and documentation procedures as needed.
  • Support tracking and reporting of the Cost of Poor Quality across North American and European operations.
  • Follow all employee policies described in the Employee Handbook.
  • Work mandatory overtime when the production team works.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Metrology, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and measurement technology experience are desired.
  • Experience participating in root-cause analysis and problem-solving is desired.
