About the job
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.
- ARRT (R) certification is required.
- MRI certification (ARRT MR) is preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- New York State radiographer's license and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- Knowledge and working experience in computerized axial tomography.
- Strong technical knowledge of MRI systems; Siemens knowledge is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in body, neuro, and stroke imaging protocols.
- Ability to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform a variety of CAT scan and MRI procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
- Produce and evaluate CT/MRI images for technical quality, properly identify images and patients, and apply judgment to protocols and procedures.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies and procedures and JCAHO and regulatory agency requirements.
- Demonstrate and promote service excellence.
- At least one year of MRI experience.
- MRI certification (ARRT MR), if not already held.
- Experience with Siemens MRI systems.
