Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security, including at least 2 years in a team lead or management capacity, is required.
  • The candidate must have solid working knowledge of firewalls, security information and event management, identity and access management, endpoint protection, cloud security, and threat intelligence.
  • The candidate must understand risks associated with generative AI and AI tool adoption, including data leakage, shadow AI, and model misuse, and how to mitigate them operationally.
  • The candidate must have experience executing risk assessments and mitigation plans at the team or operational level.
  • The candidate must have working knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • The candidate must be able to translate technical issues for non-technical stakeholders through strong verbal and written communication.
  • The candidate must be able to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience managing, mentoring, and developing a security team.
  • The candidate must take a resourceful, hands-on approach to resolving security issues.
  • The candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving tools and threats.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day security operations, ensuring policies and strategies set by senior leadership are implemented effectively across teams and systems.
  • Identify, assess, and track cyber risks, and recommend and implement mitigations through technology, process, and policy changes.
  • Maintain and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures, and recommend updates based on operational realities.
  • Manage security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence functions, including coordinating with security operations center or managed security service provider resources as applicable.
  • Own the security review, deployment, and ongoing monitoring of AI tools used across the organization.
  • Manage Harmonic and Weave, including configuration, alert tuning, and reporting on findings.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines for safe employee use of generative AI and third-party AI tools, and evaluate new AI tools and vendors for security and data-handling risk before adoption.
  • Support compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and frameworks, including GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and NIST, and coordinate evidence gathering and remediation for internal and external audits.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security analysts and engineers, and manage workload, performance, and skill development.
  • Lead execution of incident response plans for day-to-day and moderate-severity incidents, and escalate and support leadership during major incidents.
  • Communicate security status, risks, and AI tooling findings clearly to IT leadership and relevant business stakeholders.
  • Manage and optimize the organization's security tool stack, including security information and event management, endpoint detection and response or endpoint protection, identity and access management, vulnerability scanners, and AI monitoring platforms such as Harmonic and Weave.
  • Manage licensing, integrations, and vendor relationships for the security tool stack.
  • Conduct security assessments of third-party vendors, partners, and AI tool providers, and track remediation of identified issues.
  • Assist in developing and managing the security budget for tools, staffing, and training within the team's scope.
  • Run organization-wide security awareness programs, including training on safe and compliant use of AI tools.
  • Stay current on cyber threats, AI-specific risks such as prompt injection, data leakage via AI tools, and shadow AI usage, and industry best practices, and recommend program improvements.
Desired Qualifications
  • CISSP, Certified Information Security Manager, Security+, GIAC, or other relevant professional certifications are preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI security and monitoring tools such as Harmonic, Weave, or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
