Camping World Stadium unveils $400 million renovation plans. Take a look at what's to come! 11 hours ago Camping World Stadium is poised for its most significant transformation in decades, with a newly unveiled $400 million renovation plan that aims to elevate the Orlando venue into a premier destination for major sporting events, concerts and international competitions. Designed by DLR Group in partnership with the City of Orlando, Orange County and Florida Citrus Sports, the 650,000-square-foot modernization will expand the stadium's capacity to more than 65,000 while introducing sweeping improvements intended to enhance the fan experience and increase the venue's flexibility. Among the project's most notable additions is a new North Endzone Tower that will enclose the seating bowl, connect existing premium seating areas and improve circulation throughout the stadium with new escalators, club spaces and hospitality offerings. The renovation also includes an expanded Terrace Level concourse with additional dining options and upgraded amenities. For concertgoers, retractable seating in the south lower bowl will create a dedicated stage pocket, allowing for larger audiences while making it easier to convert the stadium between sporting events and live performances. New and renovated luxury suites, upgraded audiovisual technology and a redesigned exterior featuring programmable LED lighting are also part of the plan. "Our design doesn't just modernize infrastructure; it reimagines the entire experience from the moment you arrive at the stadium to the final moment you leave," said Ryan Freeland, DLR Group principal and sports design leader. "Every decision... was made to amplify the energy of this place, extend its life, and make it more competitive on a national and international stage." As most Central Floridians know, Camping World Stadium hosts many of Central Florida's marquee events, including the Citrus Bowl, Pop-Tarts Bowl, Florida Blue Florida Classic and EDC Orlando. Officials say the renovation will better position the venue to attract additional high-profile sporting events, concerts and international programming while generating new jobs, increasing tourism-related economic activity and reinforcing the stadium's importance as both a civic landmark and an economic driver for Central Florida.
MCC-Longview opens state-of-art Automotive Institute and launches a new automotive program. June 30, 2026 Seven years in the making, MCC's leadership envisioned modernizing the automotive technology program to expand workforce training opportunities. In its initial phase, the existing automotive High Technology building was renovated and the collision repair program was expanded. Now after more than a year since its ground-breaking, the new MCC-Longview Automotive Institute combines its academic and corporate training programs entirely in one building, including its new diesel technology program. In June 2026, the college opened the Automotive Institute, a facility designed to support hands-on learning. The new program is equipped with state-of-the art equipment with ten bays specific to the needs of diesel motor and commercial vehicles, allowing for hands-on learning in this industry specific field. The first program cohort begins in the Fall 2026. "For more than 60 years, MCC has set the standard for automotive training and education in our region, preparing more than 9,500 students for careers in the industry," states Dr. Beatty, Chancellor and CEO of Metropolitan Community College. "Now with expanded capabilities, open-concept design and modernized teaching labs, MCC is in the position to further its impact even more."
